Like I thought he was good, I usually do very well with him, and get fed sometimes. But I NEVER WIN with him. I swear to god my win rate with Draven is higher when i'm negative than when I'm really fed. Is Draven just that much of a shit champ that he can't carry even when fed??

Runaans does not work on him, and tri force is pretty bad too.

An item like runaans that is pure attack speed makes him lose SO much burst and DPS.
Tri force is bad because of how Draven works. You're supposed to catch the axe not activate, drop, activate. So in a real 1v1, you activate Q once and that's all tri force has for you.
It gives him 30 measily AD which is worse than most items he could build. A draven that builds normally would crush a draven building triforce and runaans.
Vayne can work with tri force because she doesn't scale off of hard AD like draven. She needs attack speed, tri force gives that. And tumble's cd is extremely tiny late game which is when she gets tri force.

I'm not saying it works, just pointing out that you can get the TF proc on every spinning axe from Ws. He can proc it way more than Vayne for as long as his mana holds out.

Oh I see what you mean.
In that situation, you're running a huge Risk in that if you dont catch the axe, you lose. You're missing all that AD from a normal item so normal AA will do less, and have to catch EVERY axe. His Q just scales harder with huge AD, and also the axes can come back too fast for Tri Force to come off CD. It's not a build that will make you useless, but definitely one that lowers your effective DPS.
Vekkna1 votesYeah, for sure. I wouldn't ever do it in 5s as an ADC, but it might actually be pretty decent as a solo laner in Twisted Treeline. The movement speed, mana, phage proc, hp, and spellblade would all be really useful for him in that meta.

Runaans is not good on him. You want Damage on Draven. IE should be your first item. Giving up damage for attack speed neuters what he does, and that is severe damage on one person. You'd want attack speed solely from boots and Phantom Dancer.
