If someone didn't lock their character in the new champion select, it shouldn't disband the game

Instead, it should lock that character for him after time passes and let next player select his champion. I've noticed that many players are not even aware of the fact that it's necessary for them to lock.

I believe this to be on purpose.

If everyone habitualizes themselves (mind you, there is a rough period, this is it) to locking in asap then down the road it will speed up champ select times as everyone will be picking, locking and moving on quicker. It may be a subtle way for riot to get this done.

I wish they would just decrease the pick time a little, and bring back the auto-lock in. They are happy with the faster average champ select, and we are happy with the whole game not resetting and making it longer because one guy didn't lock in fast enough...3 games in a row.

They will likely do this once everyone is habitualized to locking in, lol.

i hope not. in the past it was usually an auto-lock teammate that was the afk

I wish they would increas pick time so My team had enough time to actually discuss strategies. also, I wish that people actually listened to me when I suggest coming up with a coherent strategy instead of everyone trying to be a solo carry, becuase unless the enemy is doing the same thing those are games that you lose.

It forces them not to opt out and be active in champion select. It's called a harsh lesson. But a good lesson.

Well every time a champ select starts a box comes up that tell you you have to lock it in. So either you see it, dont read it. Thats your fault. Or you saw it, didnt read it, and made it never come up again. Def your/their fault.

No.

Make people force to lock in. I don't want to waste my time in games with afkers. People used to pick and either go fuck themselves somewhere or have some sort of pc/connection/family issue or whatever, so they'd just leave after picking a champion.

We don't have to put up with this anymore. And all you have to do is spent half a second to click the lock-in button. Sacrifice a tiny amount of time for an increase of quality in your games.

OMG, Change Scary! Remove Change!

If you bother to honestly think about this system, you'd realize quite quickly by using logic that this is only going to last during the initial roll out. Once people get out of their old habits, this won't be a problem, but a massive blessing. This will decrease queue times by a very significant amount.

But go ahead and cry about the initial pains cause you're too short sighted to see the obvious future.
