Why I stopped playing League.
This is not a Dynamic Queue rant. I am fairly okay with Dynamic Queue, I don't care whether I play against premades or solo queue players, because the outcome of my games are ALWAYS far more affected by MY performance than the performance of the enemy team. In my main account, I got to Diamond playing solo, so whether it was premades or solo queuers in the enemy team, it really didn't matter to me.
This is not a Balance rant. Yes, there have been a few OP champions like Ekko, Fizz, Swain, and Kindred. There are also a lot of champs that are consistently in bad states and need reworks like Aatrox, Xin Zhao, and Master Yi. But overall, I actually admire the way Riot has recently taken when it comes to balance, which is to give counterplay instead of just straight nerfs/buffs to damage.
No, what this is, is a rant about freaking QUEUE TIMES. Ever since I got to Diamond a few months ago, I have consistently been in 20+ minute queues for games. The shortest queue I had in recent memory was maybe 17 minutes. The longest queue was OVER AN HOUR LONG.
I have work 7 days a week. I mostly have time to play during my lunch break, and maybe an hour or two in the afternoon. Now I can't in good conscience play a ranked game during my lunch hour because I know I won't be able to finish the game. I barely have time to play one ranked game in the afternoon, when before diamond, I could squeeze in two! Heck, before Diamond, I was a jungle/mid lane main. Now, I'm a fill/support main, because otherwise the queue's would be even longer!
It's gotten to the point that I've basically stopped playing League. Oh don't get me wrong, I love this game. I would play it all the time if I could. But I can't. I just don't have the time. Queue times have eaten it all up.
