Fine, you're actually right. I should have written what I meant to say better.
Yes, obviously queueing with friends means there won't be toxicity on your team. The problem I have is Riot fluffing up DQ by using that reason as if their system is a godsend and that Solo Queue had no room from improvement.
So let me pose you a question.
How in a completely Solo Environment, can you diminish the chance of facing Toxicity?
You have absolutely no control over this in a Solo Experience. I happen to enjoy the opportunity to limit Toxicity when ever I can, so I can focus more on my Game Play Experience instead. I also like the idea of, over time (and over numerous different players) exploring a greater depth of Team Strategy. For instance, properly Lane Swapping and executing it for the advantages it gives (easier CS for ADC, potential Early Turret, good Wave set up for Top to take lane back, etc.) because we actually learn each other over time and begin to employ more than just the Solo Basics.
So while there are things I already enjoy about Dynamic Queue, and further things I wish to evolve into... I can still admit there are certainly Flaws, ESPECIALLY in High ELO.
I do feel it's a slightly better version than Solo/Duo was... but that it has the potential to be VASTLY better. They just have to find out how to execute it properly.
Things like Smurfing and Boosting (or I guess 'ramping' since Boosting isn't the 100% correct term) are concerns, but I honestly don't they are really that big of a percentage of the games we play and will relegate over time. But this doesn't mean that they shouldn't attempt to address them.
Also Riot was dead wrong to go back and forth on this and not be transparent. I've known Solo Queue wasn't coming back for like 2 Months now, stated as much in numerous Threads. It's really a shift based on the change in the entire ESports Industry starting to feel out Televised Content, and thus attract Advertisers on the biggest scale. But you have to look BEYOND League to realize that. Kevin Knocke has a great show on Sirius about ESports, keys you in on a lot of Industry stuff.
So do I think Dynamic is great? Nope. Just slightly better than what we had. But then I feel one's Skill is really the measure of the impact they have on their Team over all, not just a mechanical ability over the guy you are in lane against. Being successful in the Macro as well as the Micro, combining Individual Skill with Team Concept. For instance, the Best Basketball Players in the World play in the NBA, Organized. Being a PG myself, I always feel Organized is stronger. Skip To My Lou is a great Street Baller, but only a decent NBA PG... he doesn't play nearly as well in Structure. Being able to be effective in Structure is very important to me. So I've always felt Skill isn't just about '1v1 me, bro' but a greater impact on the ENTIRE Game. Fact is, most Solo only play about 10% of the Game, and leave 90% of the Strategy and Schemes out of their game because we've never been able to grow with other Players and develop those Strategies and Schemes to execute them. Solo/Duo was like going to the Court, and everyone was 1v1, no one would set a pick or do anything for a team mate... it was all about 'Me' and not about 'Team'. To me, that isn't the most Skilled Player.
So for me, Dynamic POTENTIALLY is right up my alley. I hope they improve it, eventually get it right... because it could be amazing.
Just my 2 Cents.
