Bonus to Healing/Shielding - How Does It Work?

If you get a 10% item and a 20% item.

Does the 20% override the 10% for 20% bonus.

or

Do they stack for a 30%.

...?

They stack, unless it's from the same item.

Could you give a more specific example please? Also check to see if the item passive says "UNIQUE"- if it does, the larger number overrides the smaller. If it does not, then I am assuming they stack.

Well, let's say I am Soraka and picks up

item 3504 (10%) and item 3107 (20%).

If they don't stack, I'd be very sad...

No, they don't stack- the 20% overrides the 10%, since it says "UNIQUE PASSIVE." Good idea, though :)

actually, those passives stack! it does not stack if the unqiue passive have the same name though. (or if you buy the same item twice)

if you get aitem 3504 and aitem 3222 you get a max of 30% bonus heals and shields. if you get two item 3114 , their passives wont stack, as they are the same items. it's already on the league wiki for further reference.

Riot noticed how strong this was and patched it shortly after the changes were made. The wiki might not be up to date.

The only thing they patched was the ability to buy multiples of the same item to stack healing bonuses. You can still buy different items with healing bonuses to stack the effect. That is why it has an unnamed unique passive instead of a named unique passive.

basically. They wanted to maka utility supports stronger without really forcing them to buy those 3000 gold ap items like deathcap and such. those stacking passives are a nice solution honestly for now until they rework the support scaling genre completely.

This is incorrect. This would only be true if the unique passives were named. Unique passives from different items will stack if the passives are not named. Unnamed unique passives will stack unless you buy two of the same item. This is why all of the items with "UNIQUE PASSIVE: 10% CDR" stack fine with each other but not with themselves.

Healing increases stack additively. 10% + 20% = 30%.

Now that makes a lot of sense.

Id be happy if they didnt stack but they do..

they do! dont worry. its written on the league wiki to stack, so it's probably true. it'd be also pretty pointless to get to buy only one of the enhanced heal items, if you won't stack them, as AP would be a better resource for improved healing if they wouldn't stack.

Oglaf1 votes

Well, now I'm confused.

Do they or do they not? :S

Bootleg Gay1 votes

If they are unique passive, the stronger of the two will simply overwrite the weaker one.

However, you can still add to this bonus through item 3174, since the passive is entirely different from the other two items.

Sightless663 votes

This is inaccurate. Unnamed unique passives stack fine between different items with the effect. Named unique passives are the ones that you only get one of throughout all your itens.
