I probably belong in the MMR I'm in...

But it really sucks, because if my team is ok or good, I win... If I get one feeder, we pretty much lose... :\

The feels that you are basically a non-factor to the game sucks.

that is typically all mmrs

if you have to play 4 vs 5 you typically lose

if your team plays well then you typically can win

GigglesO6 votes

It just feels really bad to play knowing that you have so little ability to "carry" the game, when you are at or near your mmr.

This damage meta is still kinda fucking with me too. (since I like tanks)

Xonra1 votes

Same, love tanks, but I hate having to rely on roles that can't carry, or people that don't understand a lot.

For example, I picked Naut to help our ADC that swore they could carry. Mid picks lulu, so at this point we have 2 tanks, a no damage mid, and MF. Jungler goes Sej, and we have absolutely no damage, as our adc starts the game 0/4.

Hella Kaiser1 votes

Riot: since a tankier meta requires more strategy and long term decisions with good mechanical execution, and needs players to actually think. we changed to a dmg meta where mechanical execution is all you need to snowball and carry 1v5 even if you don't have a brain.

GigglesO1 votes

Well, and then what pisses me off the most about this, is they made it so that ad damage is super high, and kills towers super fast, but lets remove ZZrot, remove being able to bd without minions, no fortify to stop a split push that is working, mages can now push a tower because of ap ratio aa's on towers, but tanks need to buy an item to push a tower...

The list just goes on an on how unbalanced the game is in terms of design and champion favortisim.

Just look at the current pbe warlords iteration and how they want to let adc's heal more against tanks.

Hella Kaiser2 votes

wait, aren't turrets just a type of minion? [slayer-jinx-wink]

Wasn't it a 25% chance to win or something with an AFK? The numbers might've changed tho, I remember it from when Syndra was new because you had almost the same chance to win with an AFK as a Syndra (her win rate was like 27-29% or something). Still, that's every 4th game with an AFK ending in a win.

Welcome to leagues ranked system. It's unbalanced right now because they refuse to hit the problems of stomps. Champions like Yasuo who basically get full build with 2 items is stupid. The damage output right now is also insane as it doesn't matter what champion gets ahead, when they're ahead, they can almost 1v5 no matter what thanks to the items.

hell, look at New galio on the pbe. He can litterally walk into a full team by himself, hit his W and be immune to all damage with only a 3 second delay on his 60% immunity.. Him getting head means that no enemy team can deal with him as he currently is. I've seen pbe games where two teams of challenger level players couldn't even deal with him.

This is the problem when that's the design philosophy this day and age..

DarkfireAM1 votes

We must be playing two different games, the only time someone is 1v9 anyone is if the opposite team is stupid enough to let it happen.

Yasuo isn't OP let's just stop with that nonsense. The only reason people ban him is because most people on my teams that play him are god awful.

Your problem is that YOURE never ahead most of your games, in which case why do you expect to win?

GigglesO1 votes

Its not about "Yasuo is op" its more like

Yasuo takes two items to get 100% crit, which basically takes 4 items on everyone else... "But its 10% reduced" Yea, it might be reduced, but its still a bulk increase to damage, and still allows him to build two armor pen items, a lifesteal item and still have boots, or any other combo that he wants.

Same thing with how vayne can always default to killing you with true damage.

Fiora can get enough ad with 3 items to basically kill you with 1 passive mark and her ulti...

Riven can basically "Outplay" you even with 400 armor even though she does only physical damage.

Jayce/panthion and crew are still pretty hard to compete with in lane.

The list of things go on and on and on.

And then people complain about morde, but his biggest strength is actually having the enemy not know how to play against him. If you don't get into melee, he can't damage you. Once he burns flash he has no mobility, and if he builds full damage, you can kill him before he can even damage you... if you have but one cc...

Meanwhile champions, again like yasuo dash around you making it hard to even click on them to AA them.

GayFluffyUnicorn2 votes

_Yasuo op? No. Is he and his kit broken? Yes. He is still build as this cancerous semitank/bruiser type while critting you with every AA. You need min. 3 people to actually fight him. In lane he has all the tools to outplay you and allyou can do is hoping he fucks up and there lies the problem. His early game is way too good for his mid-late game. He isn't even a lategame champ as many people claim. Midgame is where he shines with PD/IE. Look at GPs laning phase. He became a Q bot to balance his lategame. Yet yasuo is allowed to basically outtrade anyone until 6.

RacoonHunter1 votes

And that's the problem.. UNLESS YOU ARE AHEAD OR THEY THROW HARD, it's almost impossible to win. There's no real chance to "outplay" a team with certain champions that are ahead.

Vi being ahead? ok, Ult that you cant shake, and three shot their fed person and then proceed to take all the damage. MonkeyKing is ahead? Good luck trying to do anything against him. Hell, I just won a ranked game because our jungle wu got fed and was able to beat their fed zed .

Xonra3 votes

Sadly that's the meta and the way Riot loves it right now.

The days of being able to carry a bad team are gone, and you are at the whim of trolls, feeders, afk'ers, and in general terrible to bad teammates. I have been 17/2 in games and lost because I had an adc go 2/17 and basically negate it and make the game a 4v5.

I miss being able to go Olaf and win my lane, split push, and FORCE my team to win.

I do that now, my team drools on their keyboard, and Riot hates split pushing, so just not a viable strategy regardless of elo.

It is tilting, and it has made this season probably my least favorite so far, including Dynamic Queue Season. I feel like I'm a wheel on a car, and no matter how hard I spin, it doesn't matter if one of the wheels is flat and trying to fly off into the next lane of traffic.

Xonra1 votes

Yup, pretty much exactly that.

GigglesO2 votes

So besides "Get Gud" Is there much I can do to convince my teams they want to win? Idk what you guys play into or with, but it seems like the biggest shitter just loses it for his team. This seems to hold true enemy team or allied team.

Automatic preview doesn't reflect the content of the video. It's about using positive reinforcement to improve morale and help your team win games.

It's valid. It's how I win. My mechanics are trash. My map awareness is mediocre.

Xonra1 votes

Yeah it doesn't matter who has the better player anymore, sadly it matters who has the worse.

It is that old saying, that I don't remember exactly how it goes, but essentially, you are only as strong as your weakest link, and League has 100% become that.

You have a 10/1/12 top laner? That's nice, too bad you have a 1/10/2 adc. you lose.

Hella Kaiser1 votes

try to have a "commander" attitude, you'll have to type a lot in chat, and try to regulate and keep your allies on the "we can win" mentality. if someone give FB just tell 'em "play safe, we'll try to gank" and co-ordinate a double gank with your jungler. try to be in duo-q if you play adc, have a friend support. you play mid or top, try to have a friend jungler. (voice communication is important, so use ts, curse, discord)

GayFluffyUnicorn1 votes

You really have to wait until the end of the season. Way too many players are in ranks they don't belong into thanks to last seasons dynamic Q. I can't tellyou how many "diamonds" are currently in low dia/mid-high plat with negative winrates who were silver in s5/4/3 and suddenly dia 5/4 in s6. First season dias and high plats all with god awful KDAs, KP and winrates. I bet that holds true for other ranks as well. When i got through silver and gold on my smurf i swear i had WAY better teammates than in plat and low dia. Better in terms of macro and micro. Don't forget all those onetrick shitters on riven, yasuo, darius up there. All they can do is stomp lane by forcing fight everytime they get into lane or become deadweight with no brain.

Papa Andrei2 votes

Play Twisted Treeline, you have literally 100% control of the game, and as Morde, a 3v3 into a 2v4 is a big difference.

Xonra2 votes

I actually want to do this, but I'm not even sure where to start learning about it, plus I have a whole 3 people on my friend list who are essentially strangers, so no one to play it with.

Papa Andrei1 votes

Well basically there is no real meta. Other than an ad, a mage, and a tank for ranked. Other than that there are no real rules.

Xonra1 votes

The few times I tried it in the past, I just got yelled at for not playing something people liked, so I stopped pretty quickly. Maybe it seems more relaxed because of the amount you've done it?

Papa Andrei2 votes

Huh, maybe, I am only Gold 4 in their so... But the game can be easily decided by one person trolling. So if you like hard carrying, TT is good.

Sintama2 votes

I belong way below the MMR I'm in, and I have no idea how to fix that. Therefore League is a nightmare.

GigglesO1 votes

I think that pretty much sums up most of the player base experience of league. The game is by far less fun to play when there is less strategy and things to do.

It honestly right now feels like you either need to stomp all 3 lanes and jungle, and have a team comp, and no feeders, or you lose.

sobi9992 votes

Problem is that some people play lol whilst they just had too much to drink or smoke and they are really fkd. On the other hand some are just kids who are noobs. I mean i can't see any other reason for a team mate to feed like a dumbass and not realize that he is feeding otherwise it would classify as intentional feeding.

Dancing Foxx2 votes

I feel the same way - if I get Mid or Support. I feel like I pull my weight. I'm usually the only lane not to lose my turret first and usually don't have any deaths until the teamfight stage of the game. At worst, if enemy jungler stops by too often I just can't push and roam, but I don't usually end up behind either.

I don't feel capable of carrying though. I have some great games here and there but it's not consistent.

I'm bronze and haven't been able to get past Bronze I. I feel I'm okay at shot-calling and have even as mid stolen baron while the team wanders around aimlessly doing ???? But still get an awful lot of losses.

I've been watching training videos to try to get better but I don't think I'll ever have good enough mechanics to really carry. I do feel like I contribute, but I don't feel I'll ever be that much of an influence to secure wins. :(

skyskee0082 votes

Test your limits more. It seems like you have god awful CS which means you probably let a lot of waves in other lanes (besides mid) crash at towers instead of rotating to maximize team CS.

Or you play too passive and give up CS.

Once you fix that you should focus on punishing your opponent. I've played in bronze. If you play smart your opponents will give you a TON of opportunities to kill them. You just have to SEE it. If you don't know that you can 1v1 x at this point in the game with these items (PRESS TAB!!), then you'll never realize that you even made a mistake.

XeroKimo1 votes

I don't belong where I'm at, as a fill main all I'm doing is pulling my own weight, never others, if I lose in skill match up I just do whatever I can to not give my opponent a lead if I win in skill match up which is rare I try to gain one, but it'll never be enough to beat anyone in their main roles in terms of mechanics, I'm solely at my rank for decision making and adaptive play style.....

Brain Errör 4041 votes

Learning how to be carried is an important skill. :) You do deserve where you're meant to be.

ItsOrval1 votes

You just have to get good. I had the same problem, now I am able to carry almost everyone.

Hell 4 games ago my team was 1/6 mid, 1/4 jungler, 1/8 adc and 0/7 support. I was top lane and this was all before the 15ish minute mark. I was about 7/2 at the time i believe. I then finished the game winning going 21/6/20 in ranked. Its all about strategy and roaming.

Edit: Man i swear the boards is just a bunch of pouty kids who expect to blame others rather than themselves.

Troll for Trump4 votes

By all means, go to my OP.GG and replay some of the games. My team almost is always feeding, not hard to carry.

Troll for Trump3 votes

YEah no. And it is hard to carry, especially the high up in rank you go.

Really hard to carry, elo hell is a thing. The game prioritizes mechanical skill above all, strategy means little until you have everyone at the same mechanical skill level. Riot matchmaking tries to do that, but it doesn't.

If it's not hard to carry, your winrate wouldn't just be a 54%

ItsOrval1 votes

Ah nice one

If it's not hard to carry, your winrate wouldn't just be a 54%

I guess I should mention that you need to main champions. This account is actually my smurf account which I mostly use champions I never play/builds i never use on. If you look at my recents, most of my losses are from champions I have hardly ever played or wanted to try. The Nocturne Top for example was me testing him out. I actually just came back to this account to rank it up for fun, thus why I won 8 out of the last 9 games I played (the one i lost thresh trolled because his adc was toxic, nothing i can do there).

On my main account (I only have 64 games played on Jayce) I have a 74% winrate. But thats all I have played is Jayce on there. Also I took a training coarse with a Challenger player a few months ago, after I finished training with him my winrate went from 43% to 54% within a few months on this account. So perhaps you need to invest in a trainer. Good luck.

Troll for Trump1 votes

No... I don't. I main darius. Did you even bother to look at my match history, before complaining?

Don't give me that smurf bs. You don't need 3 smurfs, especially with two of them on NA servers.

My winrate actually DECREASED as time passed. Go figure. 200+ games with Darius, 120ish of which are from this season.

Ik I can play in high elo. I've shat on diamonds/plats in norms. You're going to argue "but it's just norms." Still, I can compete with them. I've even tried 1v1ing a Master's player before, and won often.

If I spent a ton of time griding out on this game, I'd climb too. But I have a life.

Maybe you need to get one, too.

GigglesO1 votes

There is also a difference on beating masters and being master tier. It used to be "Get better at csing to climb"

Now its "Find something that at the 20 minute mark kills anything that gets in your path, or find something you can go 20/0 with".

With how much they have been changing this game season to season, something that got them to diamond/plat last season might only get them to gold this season.

Troll for Trump1 votes

Yep. The meta changes "redefined" the tiers

GigglesO1 votes

Well, when you are in the upper tiers, a small change can make a few divisions difference.

skyskee0081 votes

200 games this season Gold 3 Darius main Can be Diamond but team/systems holding him back.

I'm sorry for you if you actually believe this.

People like you who believe this are probably the ones flaming their team for losses and will never improve.

Troll for Trump1 votes

Yes. And the same case is with the guy who I initially replied me. He's in the exact same case, over 200 games this season and in gold 3.

I got placed in Bronze 4. 200 Games is reasonable, don't you think?

And yes, the team is always holding you back. That's the nature of the game. People who don't realize this are blind.

The team can help and carry you, but they can also hold you back.

I'm playing a top laner not a carry. Darius used to be a lot better at carrying, but he doesn't do that as well anymore.

You win lane... and?

TP would be nice to roam, but they've nerfed it so hard it's in a bad spot.

Roaming? Turrets are weak, waveclear is at an all time high, it'll lessen the xp gap between you and your laner. With all the mobility creep, gl nailing someone with Darius when they'll get out of the way. Most midlaners have a ridiculous amount of roaming potential compared to Darius. In the timespan it'd take a juggernaut to roam the mid laner can get to all three lanes.

And bot lane, the most impactful lane? If you aren't pantheon/shen/new galio, you'll never be able to go bot. Not without tp.

All I can do now is just counterjgl the enemy when they're on red side. That's how limited top lane is.

Gold is a combination of teamplay/solo play.

skyskee0081 votes

Team only holds you back if you don't deserve your rating, but you most likely deserve your rating if you can't climb.

You might be able to get plat if you spam games, and maybe you deserve plat, but there's absolutely no way you're diamond/master tier. A real diamond tier player easily gets a 70%+ win rate in gold because they're simply that much better.

Get better at the game and you will climb. If you have the mentality of "Im already the best possible but I simply can't do anything more cause my teams feeding", then you will not improve and thus never climb.

Troll for Trump1 votes

Wrong. They hold you at all elos.

LOL have a master player stuck at silver with 50% WR because he's a supp main.

Get better at the game and you will climb. If you have the mentality of "Im already the best possible but I simply can't do anything more cause my teams feeding", then you will not improve and thus never climb.

This mentality is so. So. Wrong. It's just circlejerk that's repeated over and over again.

If it's a team game, the team will either hold you back or help you. It's not one or the other, it's both.

skyskee0081 votes

Lmao, do you actually think you deserve a higher rank? I really want people like you to buy/get a diamond account just so you can demote all the way back to gold.

Troll for Trump1 votes

Stop being angry.

Most people can get to a higher elo/rank than they are.

It's not like a caste system or something.

Please stop trying to use rank as a measure of your own worth.

Xonra1 votes

About 50%.

The other half is filled with people like you who don't know what they are talking about, yet claiming some made up stats to try and prove a false point, then insulting people.

ItsOrval1 votes

And the other half is people like you who want to make excuses instead of improving. You all play the blame game instead of blaming yourself. If it is the other peoples fault, then how come you can pay someone to boost you to diamond? Oh they just have the best luck in the world and end up getting the best players on their team every game right?

And those arent made up stats lol. https://s14.postimg.org/kp72ob4kh/Screenshot_90.png
