Riot should send out a game-wide poll regarding damage creep, etc.
I, and many others, have noticed what seems to be a decrease in the quality of the game. Everything has hypermobility, damage is overloaded, towers fall apart like paper, immobile squishies can lose lane in champion select, and obnoxious movement + stealth mechanics run rampant. At least, that's how I see it. But if Riot really wants to get feedback from the worldwide community about the state of the game, there is one clear direction to take, and that is:
Send out a survey.
Ask a variety of questions. Examples could be:
-Do you feel that champions deal too much damage in the current game? (Yes/No) -How do you feel about the length of games? (Too short/Too long/Just right) -Do you believe that mobility and stealth is a current issue with the state of the game? (Yes, both/Mobility only/Stealth only/Neither) -Do you think that towers and structures have an appropriate amount of durability and damage? (They're too strong/They're too weak/They're just right)
Obviously, people at Riot could probably come up with better/less clunky questions than this, but these are just a few examples. And since there seems to be insufficient understanding at Riot about what the community seems to want, this would be a good way to test the waters and get an idea of what is really desired by the playerbase. If the survey comes through and people seem to think the game is fine as it is, I can accept being in the minority. But it really sucks at the moment to see Riot making decisions that may well alienate the majority of their playerbase, and to make massive shifts in the game without acknowledging the desire of the community.
If I'm off base, tell me, but I really do think this would be a good way for Riot to make informed decisions about what the community wants.
