Not Everyone Reacts the Same to Toxicity

Just because a certain word, a certain phrase, a certain amount of negativity or something wouldn't bother you doesn't make it okay to say. We're all humans. We react differently. Some people are younger and aren't used to that kind of stuff. Some are just more sensitive than others- and there's nothing wrong with that.

Sometimes people aren't offended, just annoyed. It doesn't make them a "whiny b*tch" if they report you for calling everyone bad, spamming their KDAs, and threatening to AFK. It makes them a normal person who doesn't want to deal with negativity when they're trying to have fun and play a game. Saying "well it wouldn't have bothered me" is not, and will never be, a valid argument.

I'm bringing this up because I've seen a lot of posts lately where people complain about how "sensitive" this community is and how it's so dumb that they got a restriction and and and.

Me, I'm somewhere in the middle. If someone's harassing me about something all game, then I'll get irritated and most likely do worse as a result. It never helps. But an occasional comment of "lol that was a dumb play you made" is something I can laugh off.

Now, I'm not saying that's okay. It never helps, ever, and there's a good chance it'll hurt someone's performance. I may still report you even if I'm not that bothered because I don't want other people to have to deal with that. People are different than me, and I can respect that.

TL;DR: Everyone's different, just because something doesn't bother you doesn't make it okay to say. Toxicity is never good.

People are victimizing themselves too much though, let's take for example swearing in traffic. If someone swears at you do you go and cry to mom and tell her that someone cursed at you? Yeah we get it, it's not okay to say toxic stuff and wish people death and we know and people that do it know too but they just don't care. Making posts about it everyday won't change them and it won't do anything... i even consider it upvote farming at this point. People should just report and move on instead of spamming the boards, people do get banned for being toxic so there's no reason to keep bringing the same discussions here over and over again.

It's very simple really: Do you want to win? If yes, dont flame. Many people play bad when they get flamed, many give up on the match.

It doesnt matter at all if people are "to sensitive" or whatever, it's a psycological fact that harassing someone makes them play bad.

I always make really snarky comments about the person trying to tilt me irl but never say anything in game, if they keeps doing it i just mute them. However if its something that's game threatening i try to diffuse the situation asap because i need everyone on the team to play the game rather than have a keyboard warrior battle or afk.

When people in this game become salty about pure competitive banter, you know the community as a whole is too sensitive on average.

untrue. everyone is different, some people are too sensetive, riot doesn't chatban for "ur bad" and most of the time I see it it's for far worse things so they at least keep consistent on that so the people complaining are mostly just being hypocritical but they're not technically wrong that some people are FAR too sensitive.

Sometimes i wish justified retaliation should still be justified. I wish i could tear assholes apart with my words but doing this has caused it to blow up in my face a few times because of their toxicity policy.

here we go again the sensitive snowflakes like if you can't handle a game where you are forced to interact with all types of people without being "offended and hurt" then leave you aren't on webkinz.com how about you be an adult and not let shit get to you because in the real world people and going to call you a whole lot worse then in a video game i promise and if this long post is how you react to people you don't even know or care about calling you a mean name then you are doomed just grow thick skin damn i'm offended hes offended we are all offended like come on... stop worrying about what people think of you like an insecure teenage girl. ignore them mute then and just play.

and if you do care what a bunch of strangers type to you in a video game i'm sorry the mean random person called you garbage even though they died to wolves in the jg and you didn't even have to come up with a comeback because the wolves did it for you. there is a difference between a yasuo calling you trash and a yasuo shouting racial slurs just to get a rise out of you because he knows you are going to go on the boards and type what you just did just now all you gotta do is mute and report.

don't cause an outcry on the boards because some random person typed something mean to you in a competitive video game. if what they said was really that bad mute and report and let riot take care of the rest and next time don't be so insecure you let what a random stranger said effect your game play

shit man i'm a liberal woman and i'm not nearly as offended as most are especially over what strangers type to me over the internet goddamn.....
