Vel'Koz art and animation

I know you guys get a lot of threads on this board that are just complaining about something, so I wanted to talk about an art-related thing that really enhances the experience for me.

I never really noticed it until I started to play him more seriously, but Vel'Koz has freaking amazing animation. When I zoomed in on him, I saw how many moving parts and segments he has, and it actually kind of wow'd me for a second. His tentacles feel organic and like they move in natural ways, all of his textures and VFX look great. Nothing about him looks dated or lazy. I know how hard it must have been to animate something so non-human in such an intricate way, and I truly appreciate the effort. It makes the champion feel so much better to play because of how well he flows. And the same goes for his skins, especially Arclight.

Probably nobody on the art team will read this, but I just wanted to throw it out there and inject a little positivity into these forums. Thank you for your hard work.

Yes, Vel'Koz's animations are very good.

I'd be interested to see if they could make Vel'Koz's tentacles even more squirmy and perverted using the animations from Aurelion Sol's and Cassiopeia's bodies.

I'm sure Aurelion Sol and Cassiopeia could be used for other things as well...

Also, if you spam auto-cancel and Ctrl-4, it looks HILARIOUS.

Only Vel'Koz can reach levels of perfection like sniping you triple-lasery when critting.

This post has helped me appreciate one of my favorite champions even more. I have always had a special appreciation for his design (especially the tentacles), and when I first started playing League I gravitated towards it. Now many of us might have issues with Riot, but they have done some good work (the subject of this post for example) and to that I have to say, well done.
