Riot change Ryze's W to a skillshot

A point and click root spell available almost every second in his rotation is just never gonna be balanced the way it is. The only way to truly balance Ryze is to change his W to a skillshot. Yes I know pretty much every spell right now is a skillshot but this spell should be the exception with how it is in game. Ryze isn't usually strong for his damage necessarily but for more for his ability to spam spells very fast especially with his point and click root that can come up multiple times in his rotation and we all know this is the real reason as to why he is so powerful. If its turned into a skillshot there is more counterplay against it. My suggestion to change it is why not just make it like a Anivia Q where say Ryze shoots his W and when it closes in on a champion it can root it. I just don't want my Blue Man to go back to his cycle of being broken to being bottom tier over and over again. Just my thoughts as to balance Ryze really since its this spell that's usually problematic for him.
