The constant nerfs to vision is starting to dumb down the game

Ever since the preseason started and how vision got nerfed and repeatedly thereafter its starting to dumb down the game. This game is meant for strategy and tactical decisions and I feel like I'm getting punished for it because some people weren't adapting. I almost always upgraded my trinket at level 9, I always try and rush a sighstone on my 1st b as a support, and I always bought sweeper and pinks to deal with stealth champs. Now with the nerfs it feels like there is almost no point in establishing vision anymore. Yes I know some of you are gonna say its preseason and how Riot is just testing stuff, I agree testing things out is nice and the whole point of testing things out is too give feedback which is what I'm doing and hopefully Riot will revert the changes or buff vision in time for S6.

I don't like how the new sweeper upgrade doesn't reveal stealth champs anymore and I don't want to see a little shadow in place of them. I want too see them they are not John Cena and their time is not now. When I saw that the warding totem would auto upgrade later on in the game I was thrilled, but now its just a shadow of its former self and it especially sucks now that I can't upgrade it to a pink ward to deal with champs like Rengar or Eve. The Blue trinket was the final resting hope of vision now its nerfed and vision more or less sucks. One of the main reasons why I like playing LOL is the strategy behind it and too me its seems like that strategy is dying with the nerfs to vision.

Please reconsider some of the changes that have been done to vision and I hope you all have a happy new year.

I think it's doing the opposite. Before the vision reworks, games basically came down to "is your team smart enough to ward? then they win" "are both teams smart enough to ward? then the team who wards more is smarter and will win"

Watching pro games, the answer to "where should we ward?" was "everywhere"

This does mean that players being dumb by not warding will not be as disadvantaged as before (but not by much) but between players that do ward it isn't simply a question of "is the entire map lit up? no? then buy more wards"

I'd be okay if they just returned green wards. They need to exist in League, our trinkets and 1 pink ward isn't enough at all. That and buff Sightstone so it's half decent.

Here's the thing: When you're behind, who benefits the most from vision?

The one that's ahead.

They have the foothold to go where they please. They had the extra income to throw around extra green wards. The losers didn't. Before, literally your ENTIRE JUNGLE could be permanently lit up. Now, maybe top or bot side could have some wards in it, but there's a chance to catch someone and make picks if they're getting too careless. If vision goes back to the way it was before, coming back from a losing position only gets that much harder since it's gonna be the fed side that has the money to buy insurance (wards).

What they should do is make it so we have true vision side grade options for the trinkets. THAT is a good idea.

all that i want is that pink trinket back, i used to get it every single game and now i need to buy pinks over and over.. and when my build is full i cant even get them to deal with those pesky stealth champions =(

I believe they removed some vision (OK, a good chunk of it) was because there was no "tactical thinking" behind it. It was mash wards until the map lit up like Christmas. I see what they are going for, but I have no issues with it, and can see why others would.

On the flip side less vision as a safety net requires smarter play and higher awareness.

Opinions, just like assholes

Honestly there can be plenty of vision on the map at anytime if you can get your team to purchase and place wards... just think 3 from sup, and 1-2 for each laner/jgl which can be anywhere from 7-11 green wards at one time... Plus the pink wards which add another 5 and maybe a few blue wards but that would remove a few of the green so on average if everyone places wards like they should there should be a minimum of 10 -12 wards on the map at all times "5pink, 7 green" There isn't a problem with the warding system there is a problem with people actually using the wards which riot is trying to fix... The only issues I have are the red trinket like you mentioned should show stealth or they should add another slot for pink wards for when you have 6 items and cant buy one

Bring back old trinkets and we're good.

Warding early feels impossible with the current cooldowns on trinket. And since they got rid of green wards I feel like the only time I even ward half decent is when I'm on support and that because of sight stone, which was also nerfed. I agree with the sentiment that the visions changes have hurt more than they have helped since Riot has started putting an emphasis on teamwork and objectives. Like don't get rid of a ward that's been around for 5 seasons, if other people don't buy it that's their fault, it wasn't hurting anything to keep the wards in the game.

I would prefer it if they at least made a ward active item for every type of champion in the game instead of only supports and junglers. Some less than average item that gives active wards instead of awesome stats.
