Ghostcrawler says that and I quote " We don't ever want a champion to feel unplayable" meanwhile champs like are just left to rot could we just give her some love buffs please?

Yorick

someone once told me of a champion called yorick.... i had to look him up to see what the champ looked like so i could post his picture...

i feel like i would lose bad if i ever had to face em because i dont even know the abilities of some of the less played champs

well, i took a look on op.gg and ranked by plat (riot has stated they balance the game based on plat+) the games played for the last month, 3rd from the bottom poor yorick... honestly it doesnt effect me too much except in the way it does to all players and power creep....

Sona my poor sona on the other hand is still played a "bunch" unless you compare her to supports... in which case i think soraka and taric are the only ones lower

They aren't buffs they were net nerfs, we just had to shift out build around to something that worked in this meta, its the cycle of eve as the mains figure out new ways to play her and riot gets upset at us and nerfs it. This cycle continues until eve is nonviable and she must then wait another 2 years for another rework only to repeat the process.

Evelynn buffs/nerfs do not matter. Because everything except her passive tells us she's a tank, not an assassin.

So as a tank she's playable. As an assassin not even in the slighest.

Elise is playable though.

I wouldn't call her good, because I'm not a moron, but she isn't Azir w/ 325 range soliders terrible. She isn't evelynn before the jungle camp nerfs terrible.

And honestly her lane phase is pretty good. People seem to focus so hard on her jungling when she's probably a better toplaner right now, especially with this smite meta because she could steal jungle camps very easily early on.

They've buffed him since then to 375 soldier range. He was unplayable with about a 35% winrate when his soldier range was 325. Understand now?

between noobs playing him and his newly release, you cant expect em to have a high winrate out the gate

unless it was like release xin darius etc, pretty much every other champs release =/ (minus bard cuz he blows imo)

Frankly, all of the champions are (from a dictionary's perspective) 'playable'. However, their effectiveness in the current meta varies.

Yorick for example.

Not very effective in this day and age where mobility is king. He's a relic of a time long since past. Yet people still roflstomp with him because he's so forgotten that people don't know how to fight him.

Other good examples of 'relic' champions are Galio Zyra Poppy Evelynn and DrMundo .

All of these champions have kits that are a testament to metagames from long ago. Featuring unhealthy mechanics that have had little (or too much) impact and as such have been either nerfed heavily or buffed weaker aspects of their kit. As it stands, people don't often play these champions because there are equal or better alternatives that do not suffer the same weaknesses.

Jack of all trades champions with 5 passives, 2 stances, and 10 different effects on each ability are the rulers nowadays.

What's unhealthy about Zyra and Galio? They're amazing when played well and definately have unique niche's that other champions can't fill.

zyra was so broken she had to get hotfixed the same 2 weeks she came out She wasn't xin zhao or leblanc release or jax release stupid But she was fucking retarded in a 5v5 could single handedly win a game by just pressing R Absolutely disgusting.

But what's unhealthy about her? Most champs are insanely strong on release, but currently she's pretty balanced.

She has delays on all her moves, no burst damage, no mobility, she has counterplay in every single aspect.

Just go look up videos. Delays mean nothing when your scaling and base damage is disgustingly high.

I don't think you understand him. He's not saying release Zyra was fine, he's saying the only reason release Zyra wasn't fine was because her numbers were massively overtuned and he's saying that as a result of her numbers being paired back, the rest of her kit is healthy.

Can you think of any mechanic in Zyra's kit that is inherently unhealthy? Because "this champion had really high numbers a few years ago" doesn't really support the argument that a champion's kit is unhealthy.

Elise is one of the only (if not the only) character in the game I have never seen played. Ever. True, I've only been playing Season 5, but I've seen Skarner, Yorick, and Poppy, but never Elise.

I've seen Yorick once. I only remember it because the Yorick would never follow me to backdoor their nexus turrets (I was Kalista, without aggro I would be able to destroy the turret).

If you watched that video you know they went on to say that it was more of a direction than a destination. They are always working toward perfect champion diversity (all champs are viable), but it's not something that is likely to ever happen.
