Zyra Passive

Hi guys, Zyra is one of my favorite supports to play, but I find her passive lackluster and boring, and not as useful as it could be, compared to a lot of other champs. Also, it is disappointing that she has fallen out of favor as a mid lane champ among players.

Here are some ideas I had to change her passive, and I hope that maybe some Riot staff will consider them:

Passive: Fertile Soil

  1. Whenever Zyra's plants grow in a spot on a map where a previous champ has died, the plant is stronger/more robust:
  • where allied champs have died: plants are more durable and are harder to kill
  • where enemy champs have died: plants have an additional effect (maybe posion, blind, extra damage based on health/sec, spell vamp?) This can only happen once on that spot (after the plant has grown on that spot, the next plant grown will not have the added effect). I think that not only would this be a super cool passive, but it would require a lot of skill to pull off (and hence a good trade-off).

OR 2) Another type of stack system based off kills and assists:

  • incremental stacks grant more seed storage capacity
  • incremental stacks grant stronger seed (last longer on map) or stronger plants

OR 3) wherever Zyra dies, her remaining plants grow stronger (maybe ideas like from #1)

I really really think that these ideas would fit better with her overall plant theme/idea.

One thing I'm afraid of giving her a more offensive passive would cause her to go over the top. I wouldn't mind a defensive passive like Leblanc's. Zyra mobility is her greatest weakness.

Maybe instead of making the plants more offensive, they could just be stronger (harder to destroy) or they could steal health for her, or give her extra speed.
