Why does ANnie get half her cd refunded on her Q?

TBH that feels like the most op thing in her kit. It makes trading with her in lane impossible "SHE LAST HIT WITH Q GO GET HER...oh...nm"

If they remove the mana refund she'll need a vastly improved AA animation+slight damage boost.

Make her attack animation faster, like anivia, and problem solved. Or do what they did with Cass pre rework, and only give 50% of mana back.

I don't get how that affects her trading? She either kills the minion or trades with you. If she doesn't trade q for q then she doesn't get the reset and loses mana

Because then all she would do with it is point and click nuke you whenever you're in range

Annie sucks, she isn't used in LCS because she sucks, and her kit would actually need to change to make her not suck. She needs a third ability. She's absolutely crippled when her flash is down and there are no more boot enchants to reduce that window. If her E was like a 60 second CD mobility ability she would be like probably too good.

As a mid laner, Annie has piss poor wave clear early to mid game. She needs her Q to work like that for when she eventually gets forced under tower by the enemy mid. I don't know if people who lane Annie still max Q second, but if they do, it's literally a Glorified AA for all of the damage it does
