What is up with people surrendering in ranked games. What purpose does it serve. Why do all these new casual players play ranked if they just want to forget the game they are in so they can get into anther one. Play like you mean it in ranked or dont play. I cant tell you how many games ive seen impossible comebacks even in 4v5s. I cant stand the new community and the DQ that allows them to thrive.

Nøble2 votesHere is the logic I use, if the game is truely unwinnable then it will be over before the next surrender vote is even possible in which case three minutes isn't that long to wait, and if it's not over by that point it means the game is still win able. I can guarantee you that never, and I mean legit NEVER can you say that you will lose the game with 100% certainty if it will take more than 3 minutes for it to happen.

I've seen plenty of games were the whole team has fed and by 25 it's a complete 180 and pull out a win. My point is people are so easily defeated. This weakminded mentality ruins the game for some of us.

Odd Gnome2 votesI don't agree at all with surrendering in ranked and I never do myself because I think there's always a way to come back. But I agree what others are saying. There are some games that are just a waste of time due to a feeder or afker.

I just feel like so many people mentally defeat themselves becuse of small things and are overrated to jump into a new ranked game. They are casual players who didn't put thier heart into one match so they want to make up for it by jumping right into another.
Dankstin2 votesI don't surrender in ranked games. I don't wait 10 mins to queue for a ranked game just to give up at the 20 min mark because well, "Teemo is feeding" or "They have 6 kills ahead of us an 2 towers."
If you surrender, you can't learn how to come back from a losing game. The more often you surrender, the less you're learning about the game in general. If you lose, don't take it as "lost to op champs smurfs feeders afk baddies" etc. Try to understand why you die, look at the map. What's warded? Do you have a pink ward on the map? Are you helping secure objectives such as red and blue buff for your team, or are you wandering aimlessly in a fit of rage auto attacking Wolves while the enemy is doing Dragon?

RIP Resonance1 votesI surrender ranked games on many occasions. It's better to make a 20 minute game, a 20 minute game as opposed to making a 20 minute game a 50 minute game because the enemy wants to show off/improve their KDA.

The fact is people give up by 20 min and have no idea how to stop the bleeding because they dont even have a clue.

Being behind is "Oh, they're up by like 5k gold, but we can still win if we play it right!" and "Oh, every lane lost and our junglers been killed multiple times in his own jungle. It's unlikely we can still win this as their teamcomp outscales ours. We should move on."
bleufromage1 votesIt's funny that u use gold disparity as a measure for staying in the game but you use feeding as a reason to quit a game. It's highly likely that that 5k gold deficit could be from every lane losing and the jungle dying. If you play right in either situation you can come back.

"can" being the operative word. There's sometimes where the game is simply too hard, such as when the enemy team has an item completed on every lane. Personally, I don't like waiting 50 minutes to lose a game, but if you want to do that and tilt, to each their own. Press the no surrender button, and fight a lost cause.
RookPusher1 votesAs I think about it, any team that came to win isn't going to necessitate a surrender because they should be ending it pretty quickly. If they aren't ending it quickly, I'm assuming it's for one of two reasons:
They aren't in a position to, so why surrender at all?
They are in a position to end it and they're arrogant. In this situation, if you can get a team on the track of "play defense; level up" then you should punish them.
Only surrender if position two is a team full of whiny children who gave up after they didn't get first blood.
Nøble1 votesI would say the only valid time to surrender would be if you have a troll or an afk. Other then that you are doing an injustice you yourself and your entire team by surrendering. There is nothing that tilts me more in league then when I can SEE the enemy team beginning to throw, and then all our chances of winning are dashed simply because my team is butthurt that they died a few times. Grow a pair and play it out.
