Lightbringer added AD, crit and visibility. It made it so that if you ran into a shroom it was your own fault. Hextech sweeper added armor instead of AD and still gave visibility. They had utility and lasted essentially forever.
Nothing should completely eliminate them ... there are plenty of champions that have an ult that can't really be stopped once cast ... shrooms can. So having a lightbringer would make it possible for you to see if there was a shroom waiting for you to step on (and give you other stats as well).
one should not HAVE to buy a specific item to counter just ONE champ on the enemy team.
Plus neither of these two items has any magic resist....
imagine the enemy team is pretty much all magic damage and you buy an item to counter teemo.... you're not gona buy the lightbringet, you'd go for the sweeper, and yet that has armor and no MR
and even if you say these items counter teemo shrooms, teemo is not the only one on the enemy team, and that sweeper will do next to nothing in helping you actually fight teemo face to face. Whoever gets these anti invis items is most likely going to have to be near the front to sweep where they will be most vulnerable, not hiding behind their team.
