Why does brand/viktor do so much damage even when you have 200 MR and 2k+ health

Ahris1 votesWhat, Brand does a lot of damage and that is why he is a support. He has really high base damage that even if his gold revenue is low, he can still dish out really high damage.

His passive keeps him relevant but his damage is pretty mediocre otherwise.

while I think they should have higher damage then normal for mages, I really dislike viktors laser being basically point and click at a certain range.
Xion The XIV1 votesProblem with Brand for me is he has the same bug that Illaoi has. In which his ability go just a little further then their range indicator show. So I would get out of his W range and still be hit by it which annoys me just like Illaoi does.
