Ariel the Cruel4 votesThey wreck you at all levels if you fight. If you're picking Soraka to fight, you're doing it wrong. Goat has good wave clear, sustain, and riven has trouble turret diving with the silence. If Riven roams, soraka has ult. She also has decent ambulance roams with her passive. If Riven doesn't manage to snowball, she becomes useless. If Soraka loses lane, she's still effective mid game as long as she didn't feed.
Simply put: Riven wants to fight. Soraka doesn't have to.
If the other team's jungler wants to camp top to capitalize on the squishy support, it leaves bot lane wide open.

Soraka won't be able to lasthit with autoattacks if Riven freezes and once she tries to lasthit with her Q she will just continue the freeze and go oom quickly. And frankly, once Riven starts snowballing Soraka has no tools of surviving. Her silence is mildly inconvenient at best and she won't get off a second Q before she is dead.

You're missing the point. Riven Has to fight, because she's useless if she doesn't snowball. Soraka doesn't even have to win lane. She's designed to be effective on little-to-no gold. If the the enemy jungler decides to camp Soraka so Riven can snowball, they're leaving bot lane exposed. Assuming your team is half-coordinated, you can still pull out a net-win. And all things being equal, Soraka has more team presence with jungler/mid heals and ult.

This is the most overrated matchup in the whole game - Nasus W is way more crippling for Teemo than Teemo Q is for Nasus (add to that the fact that you ought to max E as Nasus in this matchup and Teemo stands no chance).
Trynda on the other hand is countered by nearly everything, so who cares? xD

KoKoboto2 votesThis is in Gameplay forum so I'ma just tell you that Teemo isn't that good and doesn't actually counter much match-ups. If you want a range top laner that generally performs better you want Jayce and Kennen.

into Teemo. It's annoying until around 4 or 5 when you can all in and especially at 6 when you can kill him in one rotation of spells + 
but he's annoying as hell and his ult can be dangerous since you have low regen.
