what?

No, at this point you just need to get good. Lee is not the least mechanically intensive jungler. Not by a long shot, and if he were so easy to use then he would have a higher winrate if he was "op".

Lee mains always try to justify how hard he is when in reality all you have to do is spam Q/E/R and roam the map to carry, landing his skill-shots aren't even remotely difficult....

Sounds like something Yasuo does. Please. tell me how much harder Yasuo is than Lee.

because the default difficult levels definitely represent their true dfficulties....

TwinkiePro2 votes

It'd better if you posted statistics from professionals rather than from Riot themselves. These numbers have probably been unchanged since the champions release and we all remember triforce fervor yasuo.

TwinkiePro2 votes

Just a fun fact, they list draven as an 8. HA

RavenMagus1 votes

Draven is actually fairly difficult to do well as.

I like the 5/10 Garen, the 7/10 Janna, the 7/10 Alistar, the 6/10 Jinx (just below Kalista's 7/10, who is actually significantly harder), Rumble's 10/10, or Viktor's 9/10, or Zac's 8/10...

TwinkiePro1 votes

My point is that draven is easily one of the more difficult and 8, in my opinion, isn't actually high enough.

That rumble 10/10 tho.

RavenMagus2 votes

Oh, yeah. That's a fair point then. I think 8 is pretty high, but Draven could easily be higher, I agree.

He's easy to play early, sure. Later? No. In fact, hell no.

Lee can be easy to play if you get ahead and end the game fast, but have you seen how most Lees play when they're behind? They flounder around uselessly because they don't know what to do anymore because playing Lee at a deficit loses the comparative ease of playing from ahead. When you're so much as even at the mid-game it can be difficult to have the impact you'll want because you will need to make plays that are risky to have a good impact, and late-game it's very difficult for Lee because of how he has to play it because besides his mobility he has no real source of natural bulk because his shield is pretty diminutive, so if he's out of position that can result in a death that late in the game, and even if he doesn't die then escaping will come with an opportunity cost that he has to keep in mind.

JoeMG1 votes

Very well put. Late game he really does have to play more like an assassin - make picks or get behind the line and delete the squishies, and if he doesn't have a successful early game he won't be fed enough to even do that. He's nowhere near as oppressive as people make him out to be it's simply that he has a stronger early game and most games nowadays never make it to a late game.

I don't even play lee lmao. He's not that hard to play, but to say he's easy to play is just plain wrong

3TWarrior1 votes

he's certainly not easy to play, but the people that do know how to play him can just pretty much delete any squishy target they like and do a fair amount to other targets

LegendmakerGX6 votes

If he does get nerf then I want his Q and safeguard range to get nerf and that is it, the main problem I see is his Q is so fast for a skill shot and the range of both of them are B.S to have to deal with since it feels like he has a free flash all the time.

JoeMG1 votes

I think his Q is ok given he usually has to risk flying right into the enemy team to try and cleanup the kill. I think if anything they could slightly tone down the lifesteal he gets off his W, at least early game so he has a slightly more challenging early game clear.

Rewt5 votes

He is annoying yes, but OP doesnt really fit him. Overloaded? yes. but not Overpowered. he is like 90% based around landing a skill shot. dodge it. if he misses Q he has to ward hop to get to you and after that he has no way to get out or to chase further. Lee is a pain yes, but thats because a good lee sticks super hard and out plays you.

the real answer to dealing with lee now is to go to Walgreen's and pick up a tube of Git Gud™. its right next to the Preparation H.

RlP K0BE4 votes

Never played a single game on Lee

I love when people say LeeSin is an easy champion to use. I would love to see these players make an impact past 20 minutes into the game or whenever Lee falls off.

LankPants4 votes

There's 2 nerfs I'd like to see for Lee Sin, his Q damage needs to come down and his R needs to disable flash for its duration. His Q damage is just absurd, all up it's 340+1.8(AD)+8%missing HP, on a basic ability. Even things like Caitlyn's first hit Q and Varus Q do nowhere near that damage and those are pure damage spells with no utility. Kick>Flash also needs to die screaming in a fire, it should have never been allowed to exist.

I also think in the long term Riot should look to do a minor update to Lee and get rid of ward jumping. Maybe if we get a Diver update at the end of the year Lee should be one of the champs.

KrivaKillerPro1 votes

Comparing ADC Q with Lee Sin Q.

(OCE)

LankPants1 votes

Compare any basic ability in the game to it. I picked those two because they're two of the highest damage basic abilities in the game.

Do you want to compare it to other abilities that bruisers have? There you have things like

Irelia Q:140+1.2(AD) Renekton Q: 270+1.2(AD) Renekton E: 375+2.25(AD) J4 Q: 250+1.2(AD) Jax Q: 230+1(AD)+0.6(AP) Darius Q: 160+1.4(AD)

I could go on, the basic fact is that there really aren't basic abilities in the game that compare to the power of Lee Sin's Q.

(OCE)

You're bronze on EUNE. Don't act like you're not garbage or like you're somehow better than me. Bronze on EUNE is the same as Bronze OCE, they're both utter garbage.

Mostro Gallo1 votes

You're all garbage

Requiemsfire1 votes

Varus's Q is designed for poke which it does from a distance without putting him directly next to his opponent, Varus also has a snare which travels from person to person essentially zoning others and a ground targetted slow that applies grevous wounds. Mind you, a full AD varus can drop your HP bar by half.

LankPants4 votes

The point was more that Lee's Q is basically the highest damage basic ability in the game. Even other high damage basic abilities, such as Cait Q and Varus Q fall short of it in damage.

Varus also has a snare which travels from person to person essentially zoning others and a ground targetted slow that applies grevous wounds.

And Lee's Q zones you away from anyone who gets hit because he can jump to them and bullshit from about 500 units away to behind you and kick you away. The main difference is that Lee has a 7 sec base CD.

Wyrmblade4 votes

He's not going to truly leave the meta until they hit his sustain/clear.

GayFluffyUnicorn1 votes

Well riot could have just reverted the LCS buff but nope. It sure is fun to get invaded at your red by full health a level above lee sin because his clears are that strong/fast and healthy. I'm sitting at my red buff as hecarim desperately waiting for smite to come off CD so i dont get executed.

Jaygo412 votes

Whoa whoa whoa...

  1. If you get executed on hecarim, you fucked up. Sorry. Guy shouldn't drop below 50% at ANY point.

  2. Hecarim has benefitted more from this jungle than i think any other jungler in the game except maybe Vi.

If you wanna circlejerk about Lee Sin, use a champ that at least drops below 50% in the jungle.

kolpy993 votes

After his ult nerf I haven't seen a single LeeSin get ridiculously fed in the jungle, hence showing that the nerf worked correctly.

Riot doesn't nerf "annoying" or "aggrevating" or when they get far ahead due to poor playstyle on their enemies part and carry the game (and I'm assuming you made this post because you recently saw a lee sin do good)

A champion is nerfed when a stat/skill/build path is consistently pulling more weight than other champions in the game.

Downvote and reply away, but this is 100% just a item 3070 thread.

InivtesPreeze2 votes

Even after "nerfs" he is right behind Rengar, and Kha.

That speaks volumes because it's generally regarded that both Rengar and Kha are broke AF.

TwinkiePro1 votes

As a Lee main, I'll be honest in saying that the ult nerfs were unfelt. I'm still making squishies pop.

GayFluffyUnicorn2 votes

Yeah because his Q dmg is busted.

TwinkiePro1 votes

It's that execute man. Thankfully, he falls off in the late game.

Armored Yokai2 votes

also I think riot needs to work on that ultimate of his in general... it takes so much health away

woodvsmurph2 votes
  1. He's not broken right now. He cannot solo carry nearly as much as rengar or kha with the same number of kills/lead. 2. He's too popular to be gutted the way the gutted eve back in the day; it would be like them deleting teemo from the game due to "unhealthy mechanics (mushroom fields)". Merely mentioning the possibility of deleting teemo -- as with "gutting" lee -- would result in massive outpouring of angry posts beyond what you could expect from almost any other champ getting the same treatment.
SwiftKitten882 votes

Umm. actually take a hell of a lot more skill than most other junglers. as he relies in a skillshot for most of his damage and his engage

something i know a LOT about as a Nidalee main.

lee has been OP at certain points in the games history and one very recently, but i don't feel right now is one of them.

hell if i am going to ban out junglers? Vi Shaco Khazix Rengar would be the top of this list AS the OP's (in that order)

if we expand my jungle only bans ( in no particular order) Diana Volibear XinZhao Udyr Zac Shyvana Ivern MasterYi

and after those... i would ban (in no particular order) LeeSin Graves Hecarim JarvanIV Gragas

i mean lee is like 10+ down on my list of who i would ban right now and that's if we ONLY included junglers...

he REALLY isn't an issue right now...

Requiemsfire2 votes

Yeah, but there are better junglers.

SweedishGunner2 votes

If his damn ultimate didn't lock you in place before it hits he'd be way easier to balance.

Dominick Destine2 votes

Faceroll easy to use and overpowered is basically Lee Sin in a nutshell. Riot will never nerf him because he is flashy and they like that.... and before someone says anything; MEANINGFULLY nerf him, not the love taps that he sometimes gets.

For reference; Evelynn got HYPER gutted multiple times with hard nerfs to mana costs, scaling, base damage and cooldowns in single patches. Do that even once to Lee Sin and then we will call it a nerf.

Armored Yokai2 votes

Perhaps making Lee Sin's ultimate a skillshot would make people be able to dodge it the area of effect radius should be like Rengar's Q

luhegha71 votes

if you want it used right it is a skill shot

I really feel like Lee should get stronger the later the game goes, not weaker. He should be weaker in the early game, and more focused on utility. . .

In short, he needs a rework. I would propose removing the pre kick stun from his ult and put it as the follow skill on Q with much lower damage, focusing it on the utility of the skill to displace instead of damage, and making his current follow up Q become the 1st Q instead but being a skillshot that telegraphs the landing location with a circle. Then he still is reliant on the skillshot, but isn't as safe. His ult could then become a volley of Sonic Wave pulses that ricochet off targets and mark them, marked targets take bonus magic damage anytime Lee Sin deals damage to them and briefly stuns them.

This kind of rework keeps all the current stuff, lowers the skill cap slightly so he can be better balanced around numbers instead of potential, and provides all the utility of his current kit while allowing him to scale better into late game and thus being able to tone down his early game without as negatively impacting his gameplay. Size of the Ult, range of the knockback on follow up Q and other things would need to be tested, balanced and adjusted extensively I am sure though.

yay nibbers1 votes

I don't know whether he's too strong but on what planet is Lee Sin easy to use? Have you ever tried playing him?

Skorch1 votes

I really cant tell if this is a serious post or not. On one hand its Lee Sin. On the other hand is anyone... BLIND... enough to just say "Too stronk, riot gut please"
