Varus ADC is so op

item 3031 item 3087 item 3006 item 3036 oritem 3033 then finish off with item 3156 item 3046

I find that Varus has a very very strong laning phase and can out trade most adc with his longer then average auto attack range sitting at 575 whille most adc are 500-550 range with ashe and cait being the longest at idk how much range but get the point

Also varus Q is insanely strong at early levels and can zone out most adc his E has grievous wounds....thats huge... and his ult is a nice disengage or engage tool

overall varus is everything u want in a adc in this meta,, his w can shred tanks, he has good early - mid game poke with Q , grevious wound for healers on E oh yeah it has a slow that scales too..... and his ult for those times when ur team refuses to push side lanes and want to group and fight lol

most people on this forum are bronze and silver and dont have the mechanical ability to take advantage of that higher auto attack range.

so youre probably going to get downvoted.

id say hes one of the few balanced marksmen. he has clear strengths with long range poke and some utility, but not an obscene attack steroid and mobility attached to his kit on top of that.

its at the same time, why hes never going to get picked over overloaded bullshit like Jinx

why pick a long range poke/utility marksman like varus, if you can pick a long range poke/utility aoe crit hypercarry with a mobility passive?

since item 3508 was changed into what it is, hes actually a decently strong ad carry, since he gets to be a caster and as/crit carry at the same time now. but its still not enough in the face of how downright stupid overloaded other marksmen are.

Isn't his passive an attack steroid or was your point that it wasn't a stupid powerful one? Either way, figured I'd ask. I know I like Varus (I'm a support main) and he's wonderful in aram.

its not a stupid powerful one, and it does require some decent micromanagement.

Jinx q does not take any efford at all compared to that, and dont get me started on her passive, which just randomly triggers on assists from her aoe damage.

Chamuel851 votes

Jinx does do a surprising amount of damage with just a item 3085 + item 1038

Ralanr1 votes

I wouldn't consider it surprising. Considering how she can get ranged AoE's as several auto attacks, I can see how her damage ramps up. Though I'm not sure if hurricane procs the AoE effect (and even if not, they'll probably hit targets that are in the blast radius of the AoE).

His lack of mobility is actually why he wouldn't really be considered OP. Sure he gets a root ult, but it's an ultimate, so pre 6 he can't do anything but pray if someone gets on top of him and I don't think his ultimate cooldown is short enough to save him from every assassin that gets up in his face.

He does not have everything you want in an ADC in this meta.

u mean like other ADC's? lol most adc are immobile but that means as varus u should pay extra attention to your positioning and mini map

Ralanr1 votes

Yeah. If an ADC had everything you wanted then you wouldn't need to pay attention to the minimap.

ur commment has me in tears lmfao that makes 0 sense my man

I'm saying I translate as, "everything you want" as "less you need to consider"

yeah but doesnt matter what champ u are u always have to look at ur map lol

and as a adc u should always be weary of ur positioning and not rely on ur escape u should save those for when u get flashed on or cc

nobody that understands Varus builds him with crit in bot lane. You get ouscaled by every other ADC.

play him with tear in bot lane and you'll see how he is actually good.

tear takes even longer to ramp up.

essence reaver is the safest choice imo. you get ad, you get some auto attack damage, you get manasustain for csing and cdr to poke with the arrow.

basically everything he wants.

essence reaver is more expensive than muramana, but you get the payoff right away, while you still would need to farm the tear for a long time until it pays off.

i usually get ie over reaver tbh i find that hes power spike is alot faster and bursty when yu rush ie into shiv u dont really rely on poking as much and just look to kill whats infront of u with w stacks and q burst

essence reaver is trash. Varus doesn't scale with crit. He wants 500 damage arrows by min 15 which is what tear into ghostblade into duskblade does.

Koreans know this, Varus struggles because building crit gives him no mid game (the same reason why lucian builds ghostblade now)

lol dude thats not true man

Crits offer alot on him

he can do enough dmg to people criting and if they are not out of range ez snipe with q

get into a game and build tear into ghostblade into duskblade then get whatever you need (bt hexdrinker LW cleaver) with cdr boots. and you will see what im talking about.

Tear + long sword/serrated dirk means you poke everything out of lane, not even Lucian outrades you.

Varus will always be at the bottom of the list due to his lack of mobility/escape.

have u tried using jihn's build on varus? it so stupidly good. Varus is an adc that has many build paths u can choose from. He can build crit , armor pen, attack speed or ap. he is very balanced although he could use some tweeks to make him competitive with other adc's. I use him into certain matchups as he is kinda a niche pick. PPl always underestimate Varus and you can punish them for it. Oh and u can play mid lane as well. I wish more adc's had the build paths varus does.

.... "Varus is op" I'm sooo fucking tired of threads like this... With your logic every champion is op. Just... stop.
