What happened to Tahm top?

I saw it once and then it just kinda... faded, it seems. Is it still a thing or did Rito did the thing where they're like "supports aren't allowed to be anything not support"? If that's the case I may get the new Fiora, she looks fun.

I find taking Cinderhulk Tahm top is pretty effective in niche picks.

EDIT: I also like the new Fiora, she's so much more fun to play as now.

I don't think Riot made any changes, I just think other top laners figured out how to beat him. Most people were playing Tahm top because the element of surprise allowed for some easy wins, so now it's only dedicated players playing him.

Well tahm isnt a real good support. he only has a 44% win rate overall. i think tahm jungler is better

Idk I thought he was still good since he got more tanky buffs, and does good damage still. I think he was just seen as a better support.

Don't recall if it was LCS or challenger series. But I did see a top lane Tahm. It seemed like the idea was to give him as much tankyness as possible while using your Q and W to poke from a safe distance.

I wouldn't count him out of the top lane until after we see the new Juggernaut items. Even though he's more tank than Juggernaut, he may benefit from a lot of the same items.

I saw that too, it was in the EU Challenger series. I think played by Dignitas EU.

I'm definitely not counting him out of toplane, he seems like a good top laner and support which is why I was confused as to why I barely ever see him at all. Hell, I think I see Bard more than Tahm.

My mind was set on buying him for a long time, but Riot has tempted me with Fiora, and Aatrox has been in my sights for a long time now. I can't decide D:
