Udyr stun timer still applied through dodge

As udyr you still have your stun debuff timer go off on jax if he is in counter strike, you dont hit him, the stun doesnt go off, so why do I have to deal with waiting for the timer to go down. If this is intended it just makes no sense.

"I used my nuke on Sivir but she spell shielded it, why did it go on cooldown? WTF ROIT"

dodge and spell shield are entirely different mechanics One invalidates auto attacks and their on hit effects, one invalidates spells. The spell shield makes sense to put the stun on a timer, the dodge doesnt.

That's correct... except for the "on hit effects" part, dodge prevents all auto-attack effects on the target, period.

This includes placing skills on cooldown.

The spell shield makes sense to put the stun on a timer, the dodge doesnt.

This last portion of your post is a complete non-sequitur and not justified in any way.

Basically your argument is garbage.

the stun is an effect of the auto attack, period, so my argument does make sense

What's your point?

Leona Q goes on cooldown if it's dodged/blocked/parried.

again another case that doesn't make sense when dodged but when spell shielded or parried it does make sense

... you do realize Riot specifically coded it so dodges/parries/block would cause skills to go into cooldown without performing their effect , right? it was SPECIFICALLY made to be this way.

You do not get a do-over if your skill is blocked.

dodge is coded to nullify auto attacks not spells, meanwhile spell shields are coded to nullify spells and their effects such as CC not auto attacks, fiora's parry was coded to block everything.

Like how riot said on hit effects were not supposed to hit while blinded or in dodge this is totally in line with that they said. Cant remember if they "fixed" it yet.

Thats like saying "if you use a spell and Fizz dodges it with E or Fiora blocks it with W, it shouldnt go on cooldown".. Thats the point of those spells lel

thats a really bad comparison, if fizz E's out of udyrs stun he can still be stunned when he lands. When udyr hits fiora when shes reposted there is an actual connection, with jax there is a "dodge" jax doesnt take impact from any auto attacks, even on hit abilities arent procced, so why does udyrs stun go off?

Cuz the stun did go off...like, jax's weapon got stunned.
