I think mages actually got a lot out of these new runes.

So I was playing with Teemo earlier in a bot match to get the first win of the day and the starting amount of ap is great even when just starting with a dorans ring,I had 43AP at level 1 and when I got Liandry's later on I had 131AP. I was using the Inspiration kleptomancy rune with perfect timing and the 5% all CDR rune along with the Sorcery tree's absolute focus and gathering storm. Sure it was just a bot match but the AP amount that early is gonna hurt a lot.

You do get some more AP with the new runes in early game yes, but you lose very much defensive stats from the old runes. The game feels so weird now. It's all about who can kill whom first, one all in and someone will die, there is almost no survival anymore.

That amount of ap was always around there at lvl 1 with good amiunt of ap from runes.

Well starting out with that amount of AP along with free wards+gold+mana pots+health pots is very convenient. Sometimes you get 150 gold which is almost as much as the old dragon gave and that's for free,that means mages can get their expensive items much faster.

That is the same for any other role. I dont see what makes Mages get a lot out of the runes.
