Fizz, Akali, Syndra all below 43% win rate. Ahri above 58%.

Well, these champs got broken in the last patch (or last two patches, for Syndra.) Can we please not leave them to rot as if they're Evelyn or something, though? [And in Ahri's case, tone her down]

Akali result was predictable. The exact same thing was tried with Diana and it broke her too.

Fizz never has a good win rate because high skill cap. I don't think he's actually that weak on live. Small buffs maybe.

Syndra with no DFG is a pointless object. I have no clue what Riot is thinking here. Needs significant compensation, got nerfs.

Ahri was going to be improperly balanced 100%. It was easy to see that either she was really strong or really weak and we needed testing to find out. Will surely get nerfs next patch, not sure which ones though.

Fizz is not Fish1 votes

Fizz always 49~51% winrate before patch 5.2.

SmokingPuffin1 votes

Not even close to always. Most of the time, Fizz is chilling around 46% win rate in the solo queue. When Fizz has a 50% win rate, he's OP. Like he was in 5.1 and 4.21, because mana regen nerfs took away his counterpicks.

He was OP as fuck and everyone knows. Which makes me agree with Puffin that skill-less derps are playing him lowering his win rate. Fizz doesn't seem weak at all, nothing about him seems weak. He still has crazy escapes and the ability to 100-0 anyone. If you can't make use of such a kit that means you suck, not the champion.

The E change to Akali is horrendous. The range nerf hurt big time as well. I think Riot should either revert the E change or rework E and see how she fares. I would even restore her ULT range, but that might cause too much flaming on the boards.

Honestly, for an assassin, Akali seemed fairly well balanced. She dominated solo-q, which gave her a bad reputation, but she has tons counter play and quite a few counter picks. Now, I am an Akali main, so I might be biased.

Fizz can be more dangerous now (at least according to a Fizz main I played with the other day; he seemed quite satisfied with his performance) if he lands that ULT, and survivable if he doesn't have it and you play well. That being said, some number tweaking to make his performance spread a bit better across skill levels wouldn't hurt. I have never played him so I don't know his kit very well.

I haven't tried the new Ahri yet (I used to play her a ton but have been busy trying to undo certain habits I have on Akali that rely on E proc'ing Q, mostly related to CS-ing and chasing down runners) but the changes look interesting. The fact her win rate has spiked so much makes me think they might have over tuned her though.

The removal of grievous wounds really made Karma a hard counter for him in lane. Nothing like a healing tether.

Akali needs a rework. She's too binary -- either she's ahead and everything she does works, or she's behind and she's a pointless object. Compare with pre-rework LeBlanc.

Fizz is probably a tad undertuned. Mostly he's always been difficult to play correctly and now the correct play is different. Expect a bumpy transition for Fizz mains.

Ahri is simply overtuned. It is always hard to value new mobility effects, and also I think the new W targeting mechanic is a huge buff that people didn't expect to be such a big deal. Probably Ahri can be fixed just by reducing the W damage back to where it was. If that's not enough, then I would suggest making Q movement speed boost scale with level, so she's not so slippery in lane.

I'm working on some ideas for Akali, however my LoL statistical modeler project is on hold due to RL demands on my time, which will make proving my ideas are any good a bit challenging.

still wondering why they decided to rework ahri.

all they had to do was keep her as an assassin reliant on landing charms, and maybe buff up her charm damage a tiny bit at higher ranks to compensate for the loss of DFG

but nooooooo. they had to rework her entire kit for no flippin' reason.

They never wanted her to be assassin in the first place, that's why they reworked her.

Players should have the right to choose what type of role they want a champion to play. It shouldn't be at Riot's discretion because "They never wanted an assassin Ahri". This goes back to the whole argument of how Riot creates their champions to fit predetermined roles, allowing for little to no versatility. Getting rid of assassin Ahri clearly shows this.

An assassin should not have the best type of CC (charm) in game, period. She clearly was never balanced as an assassin for this reason, why not give lb a stun then? Truth of the matter is ahri is way better off now because she can still 100-0 you and her W is a better poking tool in lane. DFG made everyone into assassins and damage amp did as well, if ahri needed these 2 things to make her an assassin then she obviously wasn't an assassin. For God's sake the woman has a 280 base with 75% ap ratio that deals magic and true damage and a pretty hefty base on her W and high damage potential on her ult with amazing mobility, she can still be an assassin, you just don't want to put in the effort and want to instagib everything in under 1 second. Btw she is getting nerfed next patch

No, they said flat-out they wanted to rework her to make it obvious if it was a good Ahri or a bad Ahri you were facing, and to have her lethality and all-in tied around hitting charm. They said the kite mage pattern was too safe and bad for the game multiple times leading up to the rework.

Why they decided to change it back to the kite mage pattern makes absolutely zero sense to me.

Edit: Found the patch notes from 3.13

Context: Ahri is a champion with a lot of strengths and few weaknesses, given her high versatility and reliability, so she can consistently apply a lot of pressure on her opponents from relative safety. Ahri’s strengths should be better defined than they currently are. These changes give Ahri players (and her opponents) clear areas of mastery that differentiate the good Ahris from the great Ahris. Our core focuses are:

Make Ahri’s default lane patterns more clear, so both Ahri and her opponents can make plays around them Make Ahri’s “all-in” gameplay more closely tied with landing Charm to establish Charm as Ahri’s “kiss of death” that needs to be avoided, as well as lower her threat/presence while Charm is on cooldown Keep Ahri’s core gameplay intact while trimming away strength from the low-gameplay patterns that don’t feel rewarding

A little Peepo2 votes

She didn't get her kit reworked, do you know what the definition of whole kit reworked means? They only added a ms boost and removed damage amp, how is that an entire kit rework? With dfg removal she would have still gotten nerfed, learn to play ahri because right now she is dominating and has a stronger laning phase than before. There is a reason why Ahri's main role is MAGE not ASSASSIN and why she has the best form of CC in game, assassins don't need that type if CC in game (Morello even stated this in one of his posts a while ago)

Aaravos2 votes

Ahir: Clearly overbuffed. She would be strong without dfg.
Fizz: AP Fizz overnerfed stupidly while ad Fizz is viable and i think toxic but not overpowered. Akali: RIP her e is now the worst ability in the game and she also got a range nerf. Syndra: She deserve a little compensation buff. Right now in the new year riot fucked up 3 champ. Great start for the new season.

Just got gold 5 In ranked (Most of my games have been with gold 2-plat 4 during my promos) and I get first blood in probably 90% of my games.

10% attack speed from runes you have an god like level 2. Ignite early for up front damage + extra damage on your W. I've been taking W at level 1 and using it to push/trade with enemies when they go to cs then beating them to level 2. W + Q and you win almost all trades.

Don't hate on his win rate, just jump on the freelo train.

I've mained Ahri for a while and can say that DFG was a crutch item. I only ever picked it up when one person in particular needed smiting.

The changes have been striking them a lot (in a positive or negative way). Just give it some more time before stating "brokennes/unaviableness" and remeber that win rates don't say everything.
