Meanwhile, I regularly see people with the club name KYS in it and just got out of a game with someone named, "kony2012nigr". Don't bother looking up the name though as I modified it slightly to prevent the whole, "name shaming" garbage.

Just think... You might have ONE bad game that gets you banned. Meanwhile, people with these names are committing 14-day ban offenses in every single game they participate in just by being in those games. This whole system is a real joke.

Its not much different than calling somebody an ethnic slur. Even though it was directed at 1 person specifically, there were 4 other people on the team that may have been made to feel dehumanized just by using it as an invective and attacking a persons identity. Could be someone has a friend, sister or brother and that makes it a sensitive issue for them. Ban appropriate. Consider it a warning that could lead to a permanent ban if the behavior continues. I sometimes will use standard profanity and I know I shouldn't, but its never directed at people, especially on my own team or even other players. Berating your teammates for not offering seamless play isn't good coaching or shotcalling either, it just ruins the dynamic of team play, and when its after a missplay, its backfires even worse.

His problem was that he directed it at someone and that someone was offended enough to report it.

Which F-word did he use? Because the homophobic slur f-word would DEFINITELY land him a two-week ban. As well it should.
