@Riot Idea For Warwick Rework

Dear Riot,

Warwick's current passive Eternal Thirst and his toggle Blood Scent are both pretty lame spells, with little interaction from the player, neither allowing for interesting or fun play.

Right now, his passive is literally passive. There's no interaction, no interesting gameplay, to be had from his Eternal Thirst. It's pretty boring.

Blood Scent is dumb. It's essentially a second passive that again requires little to no interaction, besides turning it off to sneak up on people.

My friend came up with a new passive that would essentially replace the passive and E with something a bit more interesting. His idea is as follows: whenever Warwick damages an enemy, they spill blood on the ground, leaving a trail of bloody footprints as they flee (think the Elixir of Iron path, or Nocturne's trails). Warwick can follow this trail, gaining a minor decelerating speed buff, allowing him to catch up to prey, damage them again, and gain another speed buff. They would bleed out for a good amount of time, allowing Warwick to track them a short distance for the kill.

A good amount of balance levels exist (how long enemies bleed, how long blood trail stays, % of speed buff, length of speed buff, deceleration rate) that would allow a passive like this to be powerful, but not overbearing. Recently Riot has really pushed for strategic diversity, and tried to push champions into niches that fit their character. Warwick is the Blood Hunter. Him tracking enemies through the fog of war by bloody footprints that excite him and speed him up is pretty much the most "Warwick"-style passive you can think of.

Will reply to any questions on the idea in case I am unclear, and my friend and I will continue spitballing the thing to fine tune what I personally think could add some engaging play to an otherwise afk champion. I understand that this only hits on one of Warwick's many challenges, but I hope this is a start.

I prefer the changes riot posted a year ago. They were waiting on artists to care about warwick from what I understand. Of course it was really more of a rework, with a skillshot ult and a new W, new E, tweaked Q, and passive that stacked 10 times.

I also get less of a wolf predator vibe, and more of a tracker vibe from the blood trail. While that could be cool, that isn't the warwick we all know and love. I would miss catching a whiff of a wounded foe in the jungle, then running them down before they can escape. This change just flat removes that high point.

I personally feel that his blood scent is ok because it forces the opponent to think about their HP. If its below half, they know they are vulnerable, and they get to know when warwick can see them. This is interactivity.

As for his innate passive, a stacking on hit effect that also heals him is a large part of who warwick is. You are underestimating what you will lose. Warwick would lose a ton of his damage and healing if you took his passive, and your change to E doesn't help him get to people close distance. It only helps stick once there.

You have some neat ideas, but not these ones for warwick.

EDIT: For reference I linked the warwick rework that riot shelved. http://www.reignofgaming.net/news/27965-updated-warwicks-rework-full-kit-preview

The kit of ZenonTheStoic its by far better than this, sadly that WW rework don't come out yet, but he really need an emergency treatment after the huge nerf, its time to put WW in a sweet spot.

If ZenonTheStoic's kit isn't being worked on, I sure wish Riot would read this. I wish they'd at least see this stuff instead of just passing over
