What i don't know: What's a good amount of scaling for stats like AD, AP, Armor, and MR? How much CC (Slow duration, slow amount, stun duration, root duration, etc.) is good? Do all stats grow as you level? Do i get MS per level? How much Life steal is worth going for as opposed to Armor or MR? Is going for a large amount of MS good and will it ever be useful?

I don't understand the question, you get them from building your items

How much CC (Slow duration, slow amount, stun duration, root duration, etc.) is good?

Generally, stuns/snares range from 1-3 seconds. 3 seconds feels like an eternity

Do all stats grow as you level? Do i get MS per level?

only health, armor and base attack damage grow, as well as MR on melee champions

How much Life steal is worth going for as opposed to Armor or MR?

situational, and depends on your champion, though generally one source of lifesteal is enough

Is going for a large amount of MS good and will it ever be useful?

it's never good to itemize only for it, but some champion benefit greatly from it (like hecarim, TF)

  1. IDK but for MR if you have any scaling on that stat then it is a good cuz most champs dont.
  2. Confused what you are asking. But anything that ccs for more than 1 sec is overpowered, knockups and silences are arguably the best besides stun. Also 1 to 2 cc abilities are great on a carry champ, 4 is great for a tank. 3.Most stats do except for move speed, sometimes MR, and auto range unless you are Tristana or get item 3094 . 4.What champ? what role? what build? need more bud.
  3. Yes MS is amazing on most champs. Champs like Hecarim Vladimir TwistedFate Jhin Singed Jinx RyzeJanna use move speed very well and is usually a core item or mastery or rune page for that champ, especially tank junglers(not so much currently but used to be). And item 3117 is core item for supports.

  1. I was referring to cc percentages mostly. Stuns are great no matter how long they last but is a 25% slow good? How much slow is average for abilities where the CC isn't the main purpose (I.E. Amumu, Nunu ult, any ice champ really)

Everyone of your questions depends on the champ your playing, the teamcomp your team has, and the opponents youre up against. You'd have to be more specific for a valid answer.

A lot of champs builds can vary depending on what the team needs.

One game you might build full AP on a champ like Veigar for example. This may because your team has reliable tanks and engage so all you need to do is sit in the backline and throw the cage to protect the backline and nuke people. If your team doesnt have the engage and front line you may build him a little tankier because he still scales his own AP and being able to get close and trade is more necessary.

Another example (albeit minor) is the games where an ADC will build item 3047 instead of item 3006 because the enemy has more ad champs.

As far as how much lifesteal to build instead of armor and MR; generally champs that build a lot of lifesteal are building a lot of damage so the armor and MR is not prioritized.

I believe there is a LoL wiki that answers the scalings per level on all champions.

1.) Subjective. Dependant on champion and match ups. 2.) Subjective. Dependant on champion and match ups. More is always good. 3.) All stats grow as you level, EXCEPT for MS. Some champs dont have scaling defenses for one reason or another. 4.) Subjective. Dependant on champion and match up. 5.) Different champions want different things. Everyone could use a bit more MS, but some people excel with it (like Hecarim).

Long story short, you gotta be more specific, or just play a lot to learn match ups/builds.

  1. As an example, how good is Evelynn's AP scaling? I've seen a couple people say it's pretty good. Do AP and AD scale differently (As in is 40 AP as valuable to an AP champ as 40 AD is to an AD champ, not worrying about mana and cooldowns as those are an obvious factor.)?
  2. Just how much of each CC is an average amount.
  3. If i'm an AP assassin would it be worthwhile to get an item with a good amount of AP and some lifesteal or something with a great amount of AP and no lifesteal. If you need a specific example then Evelynn or Ahri.

Well for each champ it is different.

  1. Base AP and AD dont really matter much unless tanks or juggernaut that builds item 3053 . Significant amounts come from items or ability passives such as veigars AP stacking passive on his Q. Or Ryzes mana to AP stacking which again comes from items.
  2. You normally want a 30-35% slow or more to have any meaningful impact, thats why Sejuani is such a problem now. item 3116 , now this item is only 20% but it is core much like item 3044 is for champs that need to "stick" to targets. It isnt op it just gives a little help, again any cc effect that is longer than 1 second is usually annoying(or op, cough sej). 4.There is basically no spell vamp in the game now, so dont buy lifesteal for AP champs unless Akali Rumble Teemo . Life steal is for ADCs and certain bruisers. The only reasonable item you are refering to is item 3146. Which you dont build on Eve, see with squish champs lifesteal is the ability to gain health back, which is outshined by pure health or hybrid(by this i mean heltha nd damage not AD and AD) items like item 3151 item 3116 item 3003 item 3001 item 3027 item 3157 item 3026 item 3071 item 3078 etc etc. Since you survive longer in team fights instead of dying by TRYING to lifesteal. look up recomended items for your champ and in time youll learn what builds are.

My friend whose a bit more experienced recommended i build gunblade on Eve since her E scales with AD and AP. Was he wrong in saying that?

On the subject of lifesteal: Basically your saying ADC's and bruisers build lifesteal along with other things that are more important. ADC's have use for it because they're usually safe in the backline so lifesteal helps negate some poke damage. AP champs don't build it because they 1) have cooldowns and 2) use mana to function? Did i get that right?

Yes exactly. And sure you CAN build gunblade, but pros dont and neither do the highest winrate builds. http://www.probuilds.net/champions/details/Evelynn http://champion.gg/champion/Evelynn/Jungle?league=platplus

"You already have a ranged slow in stalker-smite and you don't need sustain since you go for quick kills, not drawn out fights.

Evelynn's Q also only heals as a multi target spell, so the only move you'll get full healing from is the E which is only used once per skirmish.

I worry Eve's E is going to take a hit losing it's AP scaling in her current all AP build." - Hexsfortune Hope this helps, your friend is not wrong but it just isnt optimal. Hope this helps

1.) Simple answer (although might sound a bit rude) is check the wiki. The sad fact is the game doesnt show scaling in game (at least the percentage that things scale off of), which is just ridiculous. AP and AD have different values for different people, because AD also boosts your AA damage.

2.) There really is no answer for this honestly. CC is king right now, so more the better. Generally packed into your support and jungle/top, with some extra from mid.

4.) Well, there is no AP lifesteal anymore unless you count Gunblade, so the point is moot. There are other defensive items you go for on AP assassins, BUT if youre playing an assassin you need to be aware of your damage and whether you can even afford the defense and whether you can still kill the target or not. But generally the defense still provides offense (Zhonya's, or Abyssal Mask).

  1. But there's a spell vamp mastery? If not AP lifesteal then what is that?
  2. Noted
  3. Fair enough.
Durzaka1 votes

The spell vamp mastery is the remnant from when spellvamp was actually a thing.

its going away in 2 weeks so dont really worry about it.
