In reworking Taric, consider this
is basically a direct reference to World of Warcraft Paladins from the Burning Crusade expansion. Don't believe me? His skin "Armor of the 5th Age" is referring to the teir 5 armor set for paladins, guess what it's name is? Crystalforge. Proof? here we go: Paladin Teir 5 wiki If you checked that link and are still not sure, I'll say his kit is also in reference to paladins too.
Paladin's heal and his Q heals, paladins used to give an armor aura called "Devotion Aura" Taric's W gives and armor aura, the active effect is unique. Paladins have a targeted stun called "Hammer of Justice", Taric has a point click stun on his E; his ult is actually fairly unique. His passive is in direct reference to Paladin seal from that expansion where they would empower melee attacks, which is exactly what it does, its called Gemcraft which is basically warcraft minus the war part :P.
Basically his kit and design is a walking reference to paladins, yes even the so-called girly man meme is in refence to how blizzard felt about paladins back in the day, their class color was pink!
With all that in mind, if and when you rework Taric, I'd ask you to preserve these iconic features and references that has. The memories he sparks and nostalgia of a clunky but fun playstyle has me playing him time and again, and I'd really appreciate if you guys, Riot thats you :). could preserve his kit design in some fashion. Yes he is not the greatest in the current meta, but he is by no means broken, he still a blast to play just takes practice. I would rather he not be hyper mobile because that would be weird.
Taric? Just play ranked and when you see the enemy pick an add other than Sivir, Tristana, Lucian, or. Caitlyn, play Taric, especially into Vayne. He counters Vayne harder than Maokai.
