Why would anyone pick bard

When you have taric. Taric does everything bard does, but better (except walking through walls, of course). Seriously, taric's ult is bard's ult on steroids, taric's stun is MUCH easier to land than bard's, taric's heal is MUCH easier to use than bards....

You uhhh... you just don't get it.

Bard (Playstyle): Roaming strategic-mobility mage.

Taric (Playstyle): Immobile support tank/fighter. Requires a ally bond to bring out his full potential.

Bard (Passive): Restores over time. Ranged. Shrinks with chimes. Does slow/burst/AOE damage, which also increases over time.

Taric (Passive): Melee. Activates on spellcast. Doubles attack speed. Reduces cooldown. Scales off armor. Ultimately requires mana to use.

Bard (Q): Slows target. Stuns if it hits another target or a wall.

Taric (Q): Heals a crowd. Heals more with a chargeup. Burns through mana quickly.

Bard (W): Heals target and provides a small speed boost. Fermenting for 10 seconds heals more. Can drop up to three shrines around the map; useful for junglers or other lanes.

Taric (W): Bonds to a target, increasing armor and granting a shield.

Bard (E): Creates a tunnel through walls anyone can use. Can lead bloodthirsty enemies into traps, or move ahead of targets to cut them off.

Taric (E): AOE stun skillshot with a one second chargeup.

Bard (R): AOE ranged Zhonya's Hourglass that affects everything struck. Huge utility potential; save allies, stun enemies, freeze epic monsters and turrets, and allow Bard and allies to reposition in or escape from fights.

Taric (R): AOE invincibility with a two second chargeup. Targets still vulnerable to crowd control that no one has.
