Hi all,
A quick question to the community. Do you ever use jg or support items when not playing those roles? Ex. Spellthief, blade of the elder lizard, talisman of ascension. They seem like they could be powerful items even in other lanes.
Wheatloaf1 votesThey have some checks to minimize their usefulness outside of their intended roles, such as Spellthief's getting its passive disabled when you last-hit, or the regen passives on jungle items not working on lane minions, but you never know where an item/champion could find a new home.
12tales1 votesI've seen Spectral Wraith used to great effect by some mid laners. If you're constantly dirty farming your own wraiths, it actually works pretty well.
Other than that, not really.
Linna Excel1 votesNot anymore. SW used to be a nice version of WotA but it got nerfed to being jungle only.
Cloud Potato1 votesJungle and Support items have poor slot efficiency, meaning that any position that's aiming to farm as much as possible will end up selling them eventually. That said, AD champions have a low amount of CDR items to choose from, so if Brutalizer wasn't so damn good the items in question could be a substitute for that.
TehNACHO1 votesThe Spirit of the Elder Lizard's true damage burn makes it an incredibly cost efficient item in terms of the DPS damage it is capable of.
The main problem is that Jungle and Support items aren't good late game items. Sure, they may be amazing mid game items due to their cost efficiency for output, but no one wants to devote 2000+ gold on an item they may eventually sell off anyway.
