I don't think the goal is to drastically change the game.

It's going to be exactly as amazing as I think, because no matter what happens, I will never have to change my masteries ever, ever again. The worst part of League is going away, and I reserve my right to be hyped about that :P

I tend to agree. The other threads spreading doom and gloom don't seem to realize that in the end, it will make balancing easier for the devs - plus if you want to start a new account, it will give you a better start than before. But that will be about it - really.
