Cho'Gath Laning Tips?

I need help... Every time I go against a Cho'Gath, I feel like I am playing against a Master Tier smurf in my Bronze Promos... I JUST CAN'T SEEM TO DO ANYTHING RIGHT AGAINST THIS GUY! I FEEL LIKE A FREAKING NOOB! I also went against Cho when I was Shen... And then Teemo... So what exactly am I doing wrong here? Do I just not avoid his stuff? Or is there nothing I can do since most people playing as Cho'Gath know what they're doing and won't go oom within the first 3 minutes? Please help, because I don't want to be a burden to my team everytime I see a Cho'Gath. Thanks In Advance, Guys.

Cho main here

Main part is Dodging his Q (rupture) Dont get silenced it makes rupturing easy, as u cant use skills Pick someone with either a dash or mobility (move speed) Gnar is Cho gaths #1 counter. (hop out of Q) (%hp auto attacks) After dodging a cho spell he has LONG Cooldowns. BE AGRESSIVE IF HE MISSES always have more than 1k Hp when fighting his full combo does at LEAST 1k hp Burst. After burst = more cooldowns, so be agressive

I mained chogath in season 4-5 wanna know why I stopped playing him ? Renekton ... just play Renekton. You have to be at least a bit adept to playing him tho its not free but you can easily win that lane 9/10 times with Renekton.

#1 you can dodge his pillar with your E - whenever he trys to land a blind pillar you can #1 E towards him if you know he doesnt have a gank coming and harass him - E away and safely walk away knowing his pillar is no on CD. Unless he silences you and then lands his Q without you still being able to dodge it he really wont hit you much and hes usually not willing to get in your range for silence because you can E towards him whenever you please. Even if he does silence you at this point you can simply dodge the Q and then stun and Q him and walk away.

#2 you can outsustain him after about lvl 4 and you can out trade out bully and our farm him from that point on. Basically once you hit about level 4 your able to outpush him with your Q while making him fear your E and stun. Just shove his lane to tower and roam even if its just to your tri bush to ward. He becomes afraid to walk too far from his tower without vision of you because he knows that your stronger than him and a gank could be lying in wait.

I dont really know what other advice to give you upon the matchup other than do not fight with him too much early wait till you scale because his void spikes and his passive. Void spikes deals ALOT of dmg early and is very deceptive and his passive allows him to sustain hence why once you hit 4 you need to being shoving waves with your Q while trading with him to apply pressure this way he will eventually not be able to heal all the dmg you deal and you will outsustain him. Forcing his backs and winning your lane by taking his tower.

If you ever want to practice the matchup feel free to add me and I will practice it and explain in better detail. Once you get used to it it becomes very difficult for any chogath to deal with you.

Sometimes you can kill your opponent, sometimes you can't, but either way you can still win lane and be beneficial to your team. If you're focusing too much on trying to harass and kill him, then you're likely missing CS and taking minion damage. Harass when it's free just to have some presence, otherwise just focus on farming so that you can be useful later in the game.

For starters, you don't want to pick squishies into Cho'Gath, secondly, stacking HP/Health counters his True-Damage Ult a bit, use someone Tankish who can afford to be 21+ points in the Defensive-Masteries Tree, and like the other guy responded, when you can't do shit against your lane, just pan your map frequently to the other lanes to look for kill-securing opportunities, then go roam & get kills or help with kills before returning back to lane, and I've also found that Trinity Force can help chunk him down a bit during brawls depending on the champion you use, but don't ever try to 1v1 him into a bunch of minions. Sometimes you are forced to ignore your lane, even if it means leaving your turret unguarded, when there are good opportunities to get fed elsewhere or help other lanes get fed.

I honestly can't really guarantee that in blind pick though. Thanks for your help, I'll keep that in mind.
