So Why are we nerfing Twitch?

Rat-Ta-Tat-Tat [R] - Buff duration reduced to 5 seconds (down from 7) Quality of Life buff: casting Rat-Ta-Tat-Tat during Q's stealth no longer cancels stealth Mana cost reduced to 100 at all ranks (down from 100/125/150)

So great it costs 50 less mana, which wasn't an issue... but 2 seconds less of his ulti? Come on riot, you are buffing pretty much every other adc, why are we nerfing twitch?

Unless ReignofGaming.net isn't showing things properly.

Honestly useless "QoL" buff, insignificant mana cost buff, significant duration nerf because such champion isn't mainstream.

Sounds about right tbh.

This mean he can shoot for 5 seconds while stealth-ed, right?

No. You can activate the buff while in stealth but if you begin your attack animation, your stealth is lost.

You already receive the AS bonus immediately upon ulting because you exited stealth, so activating your ult before you lose stealth is completely pointless and just serves to lose effective buff duration on your ult.

IKR it's like, K I can cast my R and sit around in stealth for a few seconds doing nothing :)

well but actually, it means that you don't have an awkward split second of sitting revealed before your first attack. so it's defintely worthy of being called a QoL buff.

Twitch gains 70% attack speed upon exiting and the split second of reveal is less than human retroactive reaction speed due to how attack animation speed scales with attack speed. It's not awkward when you press R and A the enemy at the same time.

It's noob-proof for people who doesn't know at which range can they start attacking. Additionally, when you activate ult in your stealth you start to lose duration before you actually attack, so it is much more beneficial to immediately begin attacking instead of waiting.

You also missed the part where Twitch gets guaranteed critical hits with every attack on the first target hit while Rat-Ta-Tat-Tat is activated. The cooldown is also 90 seconds at all ranks from 120 / 110 / 100 on live. He's also getting 6.42 more base AD to start with, and his Q resets whenever an enemy dies while affected by his passive. Sure, he gets 0.59 less AD growth, and thereby 3.61 less AD at level 18, plus a harsher damage reduction on his ult (30% from 20%, down to a minimum of 35% from 40%) and the above 2-second reduced ult duration, but overall this is still a massive buff, not a nerf.

i didn't know he got the crits. This makes me very happy :D thanks for the info

Unfortunately they removed the First Crit hit shot. Everything else is still the same. not too sure what they are doing or what they have in store for him. maybe it;s because the build provide enough critical hits for all adc, so I assume they might have some other plan.

So...where is that promised guaranteed critical hit? Where is that ult CD decrease? Massive buffs?

they are solidifying him as the assasin adc and if you're an assasin if you take more then 5 seconds to kill someone then you're doing it wrong. also i believe the new items will help him out.

"For the duration, his basic attacks become piercing bolts that automatically crit the first target hit and deal 30% ( from 20%) less damage to subsequent targets, down to a minimum of 35% (from 40%) damage."

Attacking will still break stealth, it's just that he can activate the buff while invisible.

Which now lasts less lol

maybe he gains from the items :/ IDK I mean his stealth buff is nice tho, but his ratatata nerf is kinda random. might be from testing with the new items... I mean I hope they test with their changes lol.... :/

If he helps in the killing of a player, his Q resets. I have a feeling a change like that will be hard to predict the strength of, as either the enemy will attack him before he stealths, or he manages to become like a ranged Kha'Zix in team-fights.

A Miss Fortune1 votes

I mean, at least Kha'zix has mobility and the tools to assassinate people.

iamleburk1 votes

Also his ult was overall buffed... he gets guaranteed crit on first target iirc

GigglesO1 votes

When I read the crit wasn't mentioned. However I'm still not sure why they are buffing all of the other adds by such extremes and still just barely touching twitch.

However for people like me who built 100% crit, this is still a nerf.

You forgot the part where his Q resets on kills.

There are more nerfs for Twitch.

The Ult duration is a huge nerf and is considerated due to the new items but the funny thing is twitchs build path got nerfed.

1st they nerfed Blade of the ruined king, simply it will deal less dmg and costs 200g more. 2nd they buffed/nerfed youmuu's I call it a nerf for twitch and the reason is that it won't give any crit chance anymore (plus 3200g for 2nd item is kind a much (shiv 2500g)) So with 2 items you have a bit more ad than before but you lost -700g +averice gold -15crit -2% botrk dmg So with 3 items you finally got yourself 20%crit while others have 70% so I am going to ask you RIOT how in the hell is twitch able to assasinate anyone when every ADC outdamages him?

I hope you take this to your consideration

P.S love your work with the adc itemization and the whole season 6 update keep it up

I think they're trying to shift Twitch, like Lucian, away from Attack Speed focused builds, more focused on raw AD and Armor Pen.

Reason being, Ambush gives a pretty heft AS boost, on top of Youmuu's AS boost. And crit is less valued because he's not attacking fast to kill you with AA's, but to stack Deadly Venom to kill with Contaminate.

So, more AD and ArP, less AS and crit. The Youmuu's build path may be a buff, since he'll be able to get ArP from Serrated Dirk sooner.
