Improving Evelynn

Evelynn is weak for several reasons, and I'm trying to not make a damage increase a way to address this champion.

The champion's current weaknesses are the following:

1- Target access. Her self reveal range is considerably larger than her E range, and the ramp up on her charm means a charmed target can be trivially bodyblocked from being charmed.

As a result, you have a wet toilet paper champ that needs to straight up run to a target's melee autoattack range to even trigger a charm or a premature snare somewhat reliably, and she's so squishy particularly with the jungle xp and level changes that she's getting straight up one rotationed by midlanes and ADC's without any fear of her as an actual assassin because her damage delivery is delayed.

Simply put, she's horribly unreliable as an assassin because she has to walk up to a target most of the time in melee range, by which point she melts before she can even get anyone in execute range.

2- She's incredibly vulnerable to invades, as her early game is among the weakest and she's completely immobile, meaning she can't disengage at all pre-6. She's suffering a lot because she can't even get started as a champ. Her only kill potential because of her current downfall is whenever her 90 sec+ cd is up. My kill potential as Kha'zix, Shaco, or Rengar is up regardless of ult, the ult is just there to facilitate, because much of Eve's damage is backloaded into her execute with ult, which is weak anyways as even with the execute range I've had midlane Ahri's survive the ult with a sliver of health.

So, to fix her, instead of upping her damage, 2 possible solutions to allow her to better function in terms of engagement.

1- Her demonshade gains 15-25 bonus movement speed and her E dash is the same range as her demonshade range.

OR

2- Her E gets to function like Rengar and gives her the speed boost as an active buff whenever activated and pulls her to target as usual when in melee range. If not in melee range of a target, when the speed boost expires the skill goes on cd regardless.

AND

3- Her R cd is reduced to a baseline 90/75/60 sec cd so she can teamfight more frequently. She's simply a useless champ mid to late game in skirmishes and teamfights without her ult.

These changes give her on the first option better, more reliable engage with E at the cost of exposing herself in melee range to the dangers of a frontline to get her E charm combo.

The second option doesn't improve her engage as much, but gives her the option to reposition and deal with jungle invades much better by being able to more reliably disengage without the need of her ult while in the jungle.

The third change is because quite frankly Evelynn's ult is severely undertuned in CD for how much evelynn relies on it to have any kill pressure at all, compared to Death Mark or virtually any other assassin's CD.

I like the options. I would also think making it so after charming a person, that person's detection radius of Evelynn is lowered dramatically until the charm is over or is procced. This way, hiding behind your team is still a counterplay option, as it should be - but Evelynn can better set up attacks on ill-positioned enemies and they can't detect her before she has a chance to get to them.

I kinda made a thread about her before a bit ago.

She's actually quite strong, but she has her downsides. One of which you mentioned which is she can't really fight anyone until 6 or jungle item. She can go on them, but they usually have half or 1/4 hp left and then she just dies to autos.

Her W is the most underwhelming part of her kit until maybe late game, but even then it's hard to use.

You are meant to W and then Q a charmed target, into E. You can also W, walk up + chilling smite the target, E the taget, and then Q point blank so you dont miss it, as missing your Q makes you lose a ton of damage.

Most of the time, you just Q W targets for the slow and walk up and E while Q'ing into R. A lot of people don't do that.

She is very immobile, yes. It's important to take the movement speed domination tree thing for that reason. I do wish she was a bit faster with your MS suggestion and I wish finishing her W mark made some kind of bonus damage on her autos or some type of damage instead of a MR shred that doesnt do anything mid-late game (Who builds resistences? lol).

Idk. I always found eve to be one of the healthier champions in LoL. She's fine if all other champions had fair counterplay just like her. People complain because of perma stealth but they forget she is very slow, so if a control ward finds her, she has to spends 4 slow autos to kill it and she cant dash or move really fast to a new area. So she's easy to keep track of.
