Tank junglers don't have enough income generation or XP to function as such.

The XP changes not only made it impossible for you to function as a tank against mid and top lane (who outlevel you, and thus cut through you like butter), but the fact is tank jungler clear speed isn't that great either and most of their wavepush is garbage so they can't even soak lanes to hasten the rate at which they can get their items to actually function as tanks because somehow their base tank stats are trash.

As a Nunu I simply do not feel like a tank at all unless I get fed 4-5 early ganks to jumpstart my tabis, first jungle item and most of deadmans/thornmail/randuin.

It would help a lot if at least the green jungle item gave mr+armor as well, or at the very least tanks need to have better base stats and per level gains in mr/health/armor.

This is only exacerbated by the fact tanks have to split their income into 2 damage types while damage dealers only need to build for damage and one item most of the time gives them 30%+ resistance penetration.

Please do something for Amumu/Rammus/Sej/Nunu, I'm sick of this conqueror bruiser/fighter or electrocute elise/ekko/nidalee meta.

Because you're constantly behind in levels, it feels like you're being constantly outgunned by higher level solo laners. In particular, you cite Tanks' lower clear speed in combination with the Jungle nerfs in general harming your ability to keep up with the rest of the game.

I took the liberty of double checking some statistics. Well, it seems like out of the top 10 champions in the game for Damage Taken, 5 of them are Junglers (the other 5 being, of course, Top Laners). In fact, the very top 3 Tanks in the game are all Junglers. Nunu just barely missed the mark at 12th place, but that still puts him way beyond the rest of the game in terms of Tankiness.

I dunno, I just felt like there was something off with this post because you specifically cited two weaker Jungle Tanks, followed by a regular professional pick in Sejuani, and Nunu, one of the best solo q tanks in the game.

don't worrie, even with more xp/gold it wouldn't change much. There is a reason why sololane tanks are rather dead for a long time now. Unless you're Orn, getting your items and levles doesn't seem to do much for your tankiness at all, and even Orn isn't strong because of his tankiness, but because he deals damage like a juggernaut and has one of the most powerfull ults that he can uses from 2 screens away.

I agree with the OP... Riot has literally FORCED a specific meta to be played. Tanks in general are useless... they nerfed the tank items but overhauled the damage items. bomi's cinder is a prime example for both tanks in top an junglers. They felt it dealt to much damage and nerfed it several times. they want to combat toxicity yet enforce it if you dont follow specific champs for roles either. It's not just junglers that are hurting. The jungle itself has FORCED a specific game state. With so much overloaded into dragons and Dragonsouls, the game state has become who ever gets the most fastest wins, with no means of counterplay....

Yeah the xp changes screwed tank junglers.

Tank rely on their innate tanking abilities alongside level-scaling health and resistances. Being behind in levels makes them considerably less durable.

I don't think there's a blanket solution to this problem. I think the underperforming tank junglers need specific individual changes to make them more durable early on.

If there is a blanket solution, it's most likely gonna have to do with Cinderhulk. The only issue here is I can imagine abuse cases popping up like crazy (atmogs-esque situation) and Zac needing a meganerf.

If a tank jungler is good, how are our precious Sett Caitlyn MissFortune Yasuo LeeSin supposed to play?

What about Zac though? Are you just going to ignore his existence?

All they need is little cheaper items or better dmg into monsters.

The only true jungle tanks are Sejuani, Zac, Nunu, Rammus and Amumu .

Of those.

Sejuani is terrible and likely so given as a consequence of being nerfed after being too good in proplay when not kept in a terrible state.

Zac is alright at a 50% winrate or just short of that, still fine and likely better when mained.

Nunu is pretty good at 51.5% winrate, not many players but on the the other hand tanks rarely have many players when not OP given most find them boring, damage carries or fighters have always been the extreme majority in terms of favored picks for fun.

Rammus is doing poorly at 47% winrate in Diamond, AD champs caring less and less about armor probably sucks for him, Amumu is in a similar spot at 47% winrate and likely so because his early game is too weak and easy to abuse.

Well all in all, Rammus and Amumu could use some buffs but one has to be careful as the only real counterplay to tanks is to shut them down early so they cant really have that weakness removed or they´d be dominant.

Proplay from season 4-5 and 6 all showed how easily tanks can takeover their usual lanes when not harshly leashed, heck even now they are pretty good in support to the point of being the best supports.
