Why there is so much negativity about AP Zilean support ?

I carry myself all the way from silver to gold as AP Zilean support, but I never felt so much negativity about my build in any other league as in Gold 2 (which i got yesterday). Pretty much every game I am being talked about and blamed when team plays poorly. The thing is, I had 2 weeks ban previously and it makes me afraid cuz dudes keep blaming me and reporting for not playing meta support. Needless to say, i feel irritated and clearly i can't say them nothing cuz ban hammer can come even for "coughing".

they can't report you for not playing meta picks, that is retarded if you ask me. if they have an issue with you performing better than they do, then they should delete league and go back to CoD where they are amongs equal egocentric crybabies

you can just Keep carrying games and mute toxic individuals. and mute their pings too should they show any sign of oppressive abuse of it to spam and annoy you. then once the game is done report them for said toxic attitude.

Zilean is a fine support. Don't let people bully you out of your best picks.

I tend to just mute people who demand people pick the champs they want you to play.

I only play AP zillean support, if I win lane and team is overall ahead. The rest of the times i go for the meta support items and only AP item i get is archangel. Zilean is kind of meant to be played AP, because his Q can turn over teamfights with the damage AND the stun, also your R gets increasingly stronger with AP. You can revive someone with full HP basically. But to be fair the utility support items like redemption and locket are too good to pass by.. So i tend to buy them almost always as Zilean.

Diamond on 2 accounts last season with pretty much 80% support zilean.

Ban doesn't come for "coughing". If you flmae you got banned. If you just play they can do nothing to you

Nothing wrong with AP Zilean, he is a very valuable asset to the team. Mute the Nay-sayers and report them.

Because while you run around doing nothing like a headless chicken; the other support gives the whole team shields and heals along with their actual kit.

Cuz a support running around stealing kills is never good.
