I know xypherous said it was a problem to some degree at one point.
It wouldn't even be that hard to change even mid season since only 3 champsions have Crit as part of their kit. (Trynda Ashe and Panth)
A % of your total AD as on hit would make it consistent damage that doesn't randomly do double damage 2 or 3 times in a row with say 30%. And mak infinity edge muntiply this % by 1.5 and then be added to the auto attack.
It wouldn't be hard to do or understand either.
Just going to point out that changing crit to %AD added on hit would be INCREDIBLY powerful for a lot of champions (Riven now gets her passive, ult, AND more bonus AD on hit! Zed now gets 25% bonus AD, a nuke ult, AND EVEN MORE AUTOATTACK DAMAGE GUARANTEED! Knife kitty now 100% murders your adc when leaping, without any of that pseudo rng bullshit keeping him from killing them!). The main problem is an entire class (adcs, melee adcs) are built around being weaker early and scaling extremely well into lategame via multiplicative scaling. An AD% onhit does smooth out that curve, which also means an already homogenized class (do I want FotM burst caster, FotM hyper carry, or FotM utility carry?) would have the lane 100% decided once one side got any advantage (sorry other adc, but they got an IE first. They just 100% outtrade you now! You don't even get a random chance!).
