He fell out of favor because the meta changed.

Given his durability, utility, sustain, and gank power, he didnt need clear speed buffs nor the buff to ganks. A 2s slow is quite long.

He does needed buffs, becouse he had very low pick and win rates. If both are low, it means that the champions is to weak. Those buffs aren't anything special, it just makes hes clearing a little bit faster and gives kinda better ganks. Probably these are the only changes he needed so far, to be viable agen. :)

In my opinion, these buffs made him go from average to great in my opinion. He feels a lot more rewarding to play, and changes because of a change in meta are welcome.
