You can kite him in lane cause he's melee and your ricochet can hit him on minions, block alot of his damage with sheild, pressure him under turret and pop ult to catch up if he tries to bugger out plus he doesn't itemize for armor.

I actually don't think Zed doesnt need any nerfs maybe to his passive since it makes farming easy. But when you get Zed, you're trading damage and splitpush for cc and utility which puts more pressure to have these on your top or jung maybe adc. Granted if you have like and Ashe or Jinx adc, riven or Jax top, and any jungler with good cc then Zed is a good pick. Essentially you're getting a Kat with splitpush but less cleanup with Zed.

MrPerson102 votesZed will also melt you later after he's moved out of lane and picked up kills elsewhere because his kit allows him to do that quickly and efficiently while you're farming in lane taking mid, he's making up for it in bot and top lane helping them take easy leads and potentially dragon.
He has more poke than you do, doesn't rely on mana either. Can easily jump his W shadow to avoid your ricochet and double Q into your face.
Let's not forget your overextension makes for easy ganks.
If you want to counter zed, pick Kayle or grab a Quicksilver sash.

By the time you hit 6, he's either backed and is behind, or is low enough to ult and kill.

Also because jax is totally a viable mid laner.
