With Kleptomancy removed, what will happen with Ezreal?

Ezreal is incredibly inconsistent throughout his long history. Some times he is insanely OP to being insanely trash. With the release of Kleptomancy Gangplank and Ezreal dominated the meta, however with that removed what will happen with Ezreal?

The ADC role itself isn't the most diverse with the only others beingKaisa Xayah (sometimes Caitlyn and Ashe ) being dominant in competitive.

Kleptomancy was an incredibly OP keystone on Ezreal as not only does it give a nice boost to his gold, but also grant items like Mana boosts and wards which is crucial for his laning.

Literally the only other keystone I think is viable right now is dark harvest, electrocute, and fleet footwork. But none of them are going to be ever close to how compatible and powerful it is with Ezreal.

RIP Ezreal [sg-ezreal] [sg-soraka]

He'll find a new way to abuse something else.

I told people over and over again that Ezreal would be dogshit without Klepto (he wasn't even all that great with it) and now where is he at?

~45% winrate and free falling.

Damn it feels good to be a gangsta'

Looks like Conqueror is his best option ATM. It might be awhile for him to settle because most people where using klepto so they're going to have to adjust how they play him.

I knew he would get buffs soon as klepto was said to be removed. You cant have a champ need tear to scale, remove any way to scale, leave him unable to trade or fight in minion waves and then have him have no wave clear or anyway to farm back into the game if he fell behind. he is pretty much walking 300g with a 26 sec flash that you can chase down with base move speed, unless he goes over a wall.

Remember when people asked the same question after abusing item 1402 on Ezreal?

Don't worry, you'll figure it out again.

Thats just a flat out lie gankplank is terrible with klepto and is much better abusing grasp.

Expect Ezreal to get compensation buffs as he got many nerfs when klepto was released.

Ezreal will likely just swap to PTA or Fleet Footwork. PTA Ezreal building traditional crit ADC is still an effective build.

I got downvoted when people pointed this out months ago for replying to Riot wanting to wait on high level Ezreal players using him. I basically said "Ezreal is honestly a very easy ADC and if you see his winrate tanking its tanking across the board."

The Reddit mob got mad because I guess spamming Q and pressing E to ignore cc is really, really hard. I can play this champion just fine and he's one of my highest mastery characters, I'm not exactly high ELO and skillshots get harder to land up there but when you build tear every game and get to fire a Q every few seconds, how hard is it to land these things?

They nerfed Ezreal constantly to justify Klepto's existence and now that its gone his damage is pitiful. It's almost as if they should've removed that shit earlier or given him a compensation buff. When this guy's presence in solo q and pro play is constantly in every season I have a hard time believing he's somehow the hardest champion in the game and we have to wait in order to see how changes affect him, he's a spam champion with one of the best safety skills in his E.

Seems like Conqueror is his strongest keystone right now. Since all 3 of his basic abilitis are dealing damage, he can get 6 stacks almost instantly with a whole combo. Throw in 2 AAs and another Q and you got it fully stacked.

WIth a winrate around 46%, it isn't really strong, tho. Just his best option, his winrate tanked with the removal of Kleptomancy. So Ezreal might need some buff when the changes has settled for some time. But it seems Conqueror is going to become his primary keystone.

The changes to Presence of Mind also are pretty attractive for him to change to Precision, I guess. 500 extra mana from that rune are nice.

I guess electrocute/comet/glacial augment could work.

I hope riot rebalance him to be a midlaner hybrid mage. Over 10 years he has been a problematic bot laner for the vast majority of time to say the least, either too strong or too weak.

On My Kill List11/21/2019, 5:38:43 AM1 votes

it really doesn't matter. ezreal has always been strong no matter what. infact i think its better for riot if they let him stay underpowered for a year or two. stop giving him skins and pretend he doesn't exist. there are other champions in need of more love then him.
