I Know This is a Last Resort, But it's Time for Shaco to be Azir'd

Ever since the rework, Shaco has maintained a massive winrate in the jungle, with a massive variety of builds, despite constant nerfs.

It's time to admit the rework was a failure and dumpster him. Shaco is far too toxic to the game to be allowed to run rampant as he is.

Even reverting the rework wouldn't really solve the problem, old Shaco was just as toxic.

skill champs like Shaco are what riot should have made more of

One's that are hard to play but aren't toxic, sure, like AurelionSol Taliyah Velkoz MonkeyKing Yorick .

Shaco might be hard to play when he isn't broken, but he is a toxic champ that frankly shouldn't exist at all.

yorick hard to play lul

shaco is an outplay champ through and through. at most his E should become a skillshot but it's not his fault that Riot thought removing stealth counter was a good

Managing ghouls is pretty hard.

Shaco might be intended as an outplay champ, but I never really feel outplayed when he jumps out of stealth, which I can't counter, and oneshots me. Or when he presses R and suddenly I get gangbanged by TWO fed Shacos. Or when I walk into a bush and lose half my health to a stupid box.

Yorick is pretty easy. Not hard at all. Neither is wukong. Vel'koz isn't really hard, it's about accuracy.

Limrick1 votes

No champion is "hard", but all 5 of those are at the least above the 50% of easier champs.

He literally just got nerfed.... 7.7....

Limrick1 votes

Yes he was, he has been all season. Hasn't done shit. He just finds a new item set to abuse and continues on. He has been the #2 jungler all season, behind Ivern, who is just an insane bundle of fuck.

Chønklord1 votes

Ivern is a skill based champion that relies on a strong team comp and teamwork to win games; he's a horrible mess below plat level. No one plays him below gold.

Limrick1 votes

Yes, that's why he has a massive 57% winrate in high elo and is a troll pick in low elo. That's also why you don't see a lot of complaints about him.

I thought he was N1 with Ivern and Lee sin. O_o

Why would you even compare a competent all-around safepick powerhouse like pre-nerf Azir to a nichepick like Shaco who is good one patch out of the past 7 seasons _______________________________- Poll: Do you run Flash on D or F?

Limrick1 votes

Shaco is no longer a niche pick is the problem. All of his competition has been nerfed down, so he has been this dominant force all season long, and it's getting old.

Azir isn't weak right now.

And Shaco is flavorful.

Limrick1 votes

Azir has a 43% winrate.

Define flavorful, he's been "flavor of the month" all season, and his gameplay is nowhere near flavorful.

I don't give a shit what his winrate is. It was always oddly low even when he was single handidly deciding LCS games. He was still picked in LCS this season. And I played against a few in the past months. The champion is not weak.

Shaco's playstyle has character. Uniqueness. Taste. Lame Joker ripoff his design might be his effect on the player is great. You're calling him toxic but its what Shaco does and you know Shaco is around to do that. What he truly needs is more ways to counter his invisibility later in the game.

Azir is extremely weak, only devoted one tricks can maintain even a semblance of a decent winrate, and most don't even break 50%.

Shaco can have all the uniqueness he wants. Old Yorick had uniqueness, and he was toxic. Shaco is toxic, his entire playstyle is designed to make the enemy team angry. Saying "it's what he does, get over it" is the worst argument possible. There are people that rape and murder out there, it's what they do, should we just get over it?

Then you my friend have played against some good Azirs is all.

all they have to do is revert the rework... instead of destroying this champ. He had a 50% winrate 1% ban rate and a 5% play rate before they decided to mess with him.

Limrick1 votes

He was weaker, but he was still a toxic champion. I'd rather he was removed altogether, but that isn't possible, so I'll settle for a proper rework.

Troy2426211 votes

Lmao why wouldn't you revert the rework before gutting him? Nobody complained about him before.

I'm not even saying you need to revert the rework, but you don't need to go nuclear to handle him when an obvious alternative exists.

OP mentions that old shaco was toxic, which he is right about.

Old Shaco had a consistent win rate below 50% except by his devoted mains. He certainly didn't 100:0 you after just right clicking animals for the first 6 minutes and inexplicably acquiring absurd levels of damage like I'll admit he does now.

GULAG 4 U1 votes

Winrates alone doesn't say much. Azir and Kalista have had winrates below 50% consistently, but they were still very broken champions.

While old shaco maybe doesn't have as much as damage, his ganks were borderline impossible to ward.

They still are after level 3.

Stealth still doesn't lasts as long though.

NOBODY deserves to be Azir'd. No matter how broken the champ might be.
