Bronze- Silver> Focus on gold per minute. and objectives.
Silver-Gold-> communicate with team and dont throw

There is no thing to get to next divisions they all play bad. Sure there are some differences in elos like gold to plat you can just split push or just play team fighting champions. As long as you dont pick stupid shit like yasuo, lee sin ect you can just dumpster all the other kids that pick hard champions and feed. If you are decent at the basics of the game you will be d5 np. If you arent just work on the basics.
All of the above + map awareness (not just your own lane). Perhaps add in a dash of mind games where you can predict what opponents will do before they do it, and proactively avoid it.
LOL you are thinking wayyyyy too much dude this is gold-plat these kids cant do the basics properly that map awareness/mind games shit is ONLY in challenger. high challenger not low challenger. You guys give low elo wayyy too much credit.

I don't think you give us enough credit. Dude, I've seen people in my elo(B4-B5) freezing lane, CSing like Gods, setting up baits. Hell, we even buy pink wards. I don't know about past seasons when the game was new but today, you'd be surprise at the amount of shit low elo players know.
I can tell anyone to go to the store and buy x items but would they know how to make something with those pieces? probably not. You guys dont give yourself enough credit for how bad of play it is. I know because ive been from bronze 4 to high ranks.

I'm betting you were Bronze like what ? 3 seasons ago ? I'm willing to bet that Bronzies then were much worse than what we have now. You guys say get good CS, carry Bronze easy. Shit's not true because there will be at least 2 people per team getting very good CS in a Bronze game. Ward more ? Bronzies ward like crazy. Go for objectives ? We have people down here knows how to do that properly. Simple shit isn't cutting it. You have to be extremely skilled now to carry out of Bronze.
I don't think I fall into "you guys" but I would consider challenger stuff being aware of all enemy cooldowns, both summoner wise and abilities wise, and knowing when wards will expire and having a very keen sense for knowing whether there was a chance a given ward was replaced without needing to scan.
Also I only said a 'dash' of those things, since it's only beginning to be feasible (in that you can predict people to do the 'right' thing). I'm also thinking more obvious stuff like invades when they have certain comps/jg champs, rather than jungle routes and bush juking and that sort of thing.
everything till like d4 is just basics refined. Hell I walk through wards and kill diamonds like they are silver's. You cant really speak on the subject unless you know because you are pretty inaccurate so far lol.
Well I mean I've been through gold to plat before, so I'm just putting stuff out there that I've been doing that I don't really remember doing in silver/bronze.
Maybe I'm destined for something shinier if my methods apply to rising in higher elos, and maybe the fact I'm a support main makes things work a little different (e.g. on a carry, you can just farm/trade better and keep rising due to that kind of refinement), or maybe it's simply been a coincidence.
I wouldn't say having the things I mentioned would actually hinder someone in any case, so no harm in keeping those things in the back of your mind as one continues to refine their csing and other basic mechanics.
Getting decent teammates.
Im pretty sure it's picking the right champions that gets you from gold to plat. In other words watch the team comp. Make sure you have a mix of AD and AP damage, initiators, cc, tanks, etc.
strategy and map awareness.
not all teams play the same way and you absolutely 100% need to WATCH THE MAP.
seriously, its just basics:
The things I have noticed between the different divisions:
Bronze - Largely play league like it is team deathmatch. Have no idea when to take objectives unless they are "free." Almost no teamwork unless it is convenient. No idea how to play from behind. Mechanics are not good.
Silver - They are not good at making decisions of when do to things. Sometimes play league like it is team deathmatch. Sometimes there is teamwork, most mechanics are OK. They also have no idea how to play from behind.
Gold - OK at making decisions, play more objective oriented. There is noticeable teamwork, but it may be sloppy. Mechanics are ok, but they DO know how to play from behind.
Platinum - Good at making decisions for the most part and teamwork is present. Mechanics are fine. The biggest difference I have noticed between a platinum and gold player is that a Platinum player punishes when they have a lead. They can make their lead bigger and capitalize on mistakes. I feel gold players are not quite as good at doing that.
