Orange Essence still sucks

Title says it all essentially Orange Essence still sucks, looking over at my inventory, I got really lucky recently, within the last 8 skins, I've only got one thing below epic. Which I'm happy about. Recently, I just used my Omega Teemo shard, so I'm low on Orange Essence, I got Primetime Draven and Starguardian Poppy shards recently, so I went to check on Orange Essence price

1050 for Poppy 650 for Draven Not bad, I went to check if I can disenchant anything for them. DJ Sona, the (one of) the highest rarity skins in the game only disenchants for 650? Poppy herself disenchants for 270? Legendary shards disenchant for 195?

Why is it that I need to spend disenchant one of the rarest skins in the game and even then I won't be able to unlock an epic skin. Don't even get me started on the Sona skin. 2950 to unlock it. I need to disenchant four legendary skins for one? riot please

Because ultimately the game still needs to make money when it's providing you a way to earn something for free that is purely cosmetic. If you got an even amount of disenchant to cost there would be far fewer people using the shop.

I think that riot could give more skin fragment they are very rare or increase the defragmatation for more orange essence or they could remove the orange essence system reduce the frequency of fragments and when we get one we directly got the skin without sacrifices [sg-jinx]

Orange essence is still also free.

Anything you get from mastery ranks is absolutely free. Keys are free from just playing the game and following the rules. Sure, you can buy crates, but who actually does that anymore?
