Why do you ban champs in solo que?

I ban champs that I don't trust randos to not feed (akali, darius, etc)

This.
Banning a counterpick should also be an option

You're right. Won't let me edit it so they will just have to pick other.
I ban champs based on my ignorance of their kit and until I've had enough time to play games as that champ in norms. But that's in lanes I don't main.
As a support I ban champs I think my ADC will struggle with, like Blitz, Morg etc. I'm fairly comfortable with most matchups.
Matchups I'm not comfortable with.
I only ban supports, they are the ones that win lanes and get ADCs fed. I make no other bans...
What the hell is "solo que?" Que means "what" in Spanish.
People ban champions they do not want to play against that simple. More often than not I think it is because the champion is annoying, unfun, or tilting to play against not because a champion is OP necessarily.
