What's the best way to learn a new role?

I have been playing League for a few years now, and fell into the habit of just saying "fill" in normals and taking the support role in ranked because that was what I became good at. I want to get more dynamic, learn a new role like top or jungle, just so I have something to fall back on or take up if my coveted position is taken from me. Is there a way to actually learn the mechanics of a new role without just spamming it in normals?

pick some champs u might like try them a bit in co op games to get a feel then go to normals... and play.

or you can create a smurf account and only play the role/champs you dont know to learn them while playing against lower lvl players.

Best way to learn a role is to jump into it with a champion that is usually played there. If someone you already play can play that role, then use them.

Otherwise you take a champion that goes there, grab a normal and dive right in.

Go ham, feed. Feed harder, feed a little more and eventually you'll learn the ins and outs of what you can and can't do. No one ever suggests this, but this is the best way to actually play a champ. You get to learn their kit, what they can fight and can't fight and it puts you in a pretty good spot. If you play too passive and never change anything, you'll never improve.

Also, no. You can pick flex picks like people mention, but you'll still have to play 10 games or so in normals to get the feel for champs. It doesn't honestly take THAT long to LEARN a champ and become pretty decent with them, but it takes a good chunk of time.

Yeah try mid and top. Focus on farming. Use your same champ pool. Maybe try jungle I'd cs isn't your thing and ward like a support. Naut, trundle and poppy can jungle somewhat and im sure you've tried them support. Annie mid could be a good place to start as well. Or the passive morg. Just focus on cs and good trades. You'll get there in notime
