New To Varus
I am trying to get into new champs, and adding an adc to my champ pool seems nice. I main
but I know how adcs work. Any Tips?

Here's a tip: Don't stand still.
After you let an auto attack go, there's some time before you can fire the next auto attack. Rather than stand still and let people get into melee range or aim skillshots at you, move. Even if it's only a short distance, walking for half a second, it's better than standing still.
I do not recommend Varus because he lacks in everything except utility and poke but even his poke falls off to anything with a cloth armor
but if you like varus so be it.
With varus your autos apply blight. You just press Q or E on the enemy with 3 stacks of blight and itll detonate..
Think of it like vaynes passive where you auto 3 times to proc but with varus you proc the extra damage by doing a spell.
Your E applies grevious wounds ( sorakas nightmare ) so use it when fighting in lane
Try to poke a lot before engaging
Move side to side when autoing
If you want to play varus you have to be able to weave your abilities into your autos at specific points otherwise your are better off playing a different champion.
The ideal combo for varus to maximize damage is 3 autos then ult, 1 auto and E (should also be getting 2 stacks from ult), 2 autos and Q (uses third stack from ult). Depending on how good your timing is this will give 3 full procs of Blight which with 1 point in w is 18% max health as magic damage.
I recommend Maxing R > Q > W > E and getting Q level 1 with W level 2. If you want to help your late game damage take the Deathfire keystone, if you want to boost your early game take thunderlords.
For building you have a couple options, Maximize total AD and CD for poke, Maximize AS and Crit for extended fights.
My favorite setup for varus is Thunderlords and I build like this:

depending on what i need most (prioritized in that order)>
That is my core build, I take both static items because it gets me to 80% crit chance, relatively safe poke with the bonus range and great wave clear, I can normally clear an entire wave in 2 autos plus a q if I was behind. The last two items are normally a mix of these depending on what I need:
(prioritized in that order)
You might have noticed this build has a good chance of not really having lifesteal, so if you find yourself getting hit by a lot of poke you will probably need to get lifesteal early in the build.
