Shout Out to Riot on Recent Bugfixes, Balance Changes, Lunar Revel, Jhin, and Shen's Rework!
Just an appreciation post for how well Riot has brought along Season 6 so far! I personally am very pleased with the balance changes when compared to 5.22 and 5.23, after the marksman updates and new AD itemization and new masteries. The art and music for the Lunar Revel event/story is unreal, flows well and completely captivates you in the feel of the story. The music composition and art style is very detail-oriented -- as Riot's art always seems to be -- and fits the feng shui of all three skins very well. It seems every skin that comes out is more dynamic than the prior patches, and it's refreshing and exciting to see each patch further expand and progress the game as a whole. Shen's rework makes him very useful in the current meta, (should I even start on his new splash arts? One word: Wow.) and Jhin is one of the most dynamic champs I've seen released -- it seems, also, that every time a new champion is released, they're just more and more well-rounded and unique as far as lore and particles go. Riot does extremely well, also, in making each new thing release at separate time intervals during a particular patch, as a means to make each patch still feel new even until the day before the release of the upcoming patch. The fact that ultimate skins are now eligible for sales and there are more sales per month, shows Riot wants to make the game a little more accessible to a wider range of people as far as RP is concerned. Also noted; during Snowdown we had snowball fights for IP, and a poro summoner icon for IP as well. With the Lunar Revel event there has been another summoner icon available for 1500 IP! Riot seems to truly be making an effort to not only help those who own everything in the IP-currency to have a place to spend their 48254769345 IP, but also to make those who can't or won't buy RP, feel as though they are included or can take part in special events like these, without paying RP for skins or icons. That's honorable of Riot, I feel like. :) Riot has made some fairly substantial nerfs to Rengar; probably not what everyone wanted, but definitely enough to add some counterplay and make room for further nerfs or kit adjustments. Riot heard our suffering due to Rengar and met in the middle between Rengar mains and those who loathe him entirely. I feel this balance change was fair for both ends of the spectrum. Riot's attentive awareness to bugs in the new Champion Select and Dynamic Queue is humbling, and while it did kinda blow to have no new Champ Select and no Team Builder; Riot was quick to fix any and all bugs as soon and as thoroughly as they could; and with urgency to get the new Champion Select and Dynamic Queue back up and running. Lower queue times and, of course, a higher chance that you will get your primary selected role. I'm not gonna go and all-in review everything that's changed lately, but you get where I'm coming from. Riot has been crunching down hard to get the new Season greased up and running smoothly. I obsessively frequent Surrenderat20.net, and so it's easy to get impatient for upcoming patches, such as how long each day seemed before Challenger Nidalee hit live when I'd gotten the dank leakz at least a month in advance.
TL;DR - Riot has done exceptionally well lately and I just wanted to say thank you and well done! <3
