What's the marksmanship update about? what does it aim to change?
currently i think there should be other alternatives than the adc + supp bot lane, it is pretty stale and boring, uncreative

The marksman update is similar to the juggernaut update where Riot will change/add items for Marksmen and Markswomen in addition to kit updates for said Markspeople, knowing Riot, all these items and updates will be incredibly broken so Riot can sell more marksman champions and make huge money, these changes will usher in the Marksman meta, where games are decided by which ADC is better and no other champions will have any impact on the result of a game.
That and Riot will eliminate the current "Arms race" bot lane matchups.
It's also so that more than 3 ADCs are viable against juggernauts

i wonder why more adc are picked in world even against juggernauts
Do you really want Riot to enforce the meta in that way? Do you remember the last time they shoehorned in a non ADC bot lane? You should because IT'S STILL A FUCKING THING

what the hell are you talking? they did to morde massive changes to be viable bot while being toxic. Dragon to be able to push, free xp to not be behind. This was FREAKING BAD IDEAS because what we needed is general changes. not one champion being able to go bot while being toxic.
they should fixe ranged champ poke, and ranged champ sieging or making them good at sieging but worse in teamfight than melee carries
The goal is to make it feel different to play each Marksman. As an example, make
feel more different than
.
Well when you come up with something to beat it I'm sure we'd all love to hear it.

was proposed multiple time since s1. They should make laning phase against them easier. That way melee can survive against them and later in the game they can split push to counter the incredible sieging of ranged champ.
The meta has to be that way, both from Riot's perspective and player's. For Riot, its about introducing a ranged class of carries that get most of their damage through auto-attacks, but they need a weakness to compensate for the range they get over similar characters; those auto attacks need game time and items to scale up, their abilities tend to deal less damage, and they're squishier than other characters. Riot has now released a theoretically balanced Marksman, how is the player to react? This character is going to need help, clearly. Fortunately Riot release a theoretically balanced champion who's whole job is to assist the team, not necessarily carry it. These are good to have because if the game was all carries it would be annoying to play because everything can kill you and champs would have to keep being able to carry harder and harder, so a class is made to intervene, set things up for others, and deny others kills. But by definition they need someone to help to shine. They feel like they were made for each other. There are 3 lanes and a jungle, someone has to go with someone, and they go bot because that's where drag, the first contested objective, is.
Build paths hopefully
Riot said the update will be about new items i think and about essence reaver. also champions like quinn and mf (i think cait too) will get a few changes.
The marksman update is about making marksman have a unique identity that is not necessarily constricted to adcs but would apply to anybody who is a marksman such as team it will include skill changes changes and scaling in the addition of new items
Reaver, Rageblade, and Gunblade will all be getting changes to make them more attractive.
Quinn is getting a full remake. Koggy is getting some light modifications.
There may or may not be some new items getting added.
We haven't gotten any specific answers yet. Probably will get some by the time Worlds is over.
Primarily, it's just differentiating Marksman. For example, Ez and Corki have the problem that they're pretty similar, being poke based ADCs who both do well with TriForce.
