I'm sorry what? His early game isn't bad what? In 1 vs 1 scenarios yeah, he isn't bad, too bad this a team game, and there is a role dedicated to ganking. So yes, in a game where supports and junglers and tops roam to kill you, yes, he has problems because when you are pushing and the jungler swings around to gank you, as long as the opponent is decent, you will either burn flash, or be dead.
Mord is shit early game, doesnt sustain as well as Vlad, is much easier to force out of lane, pushes his lane way more than Vlad, is far easier to CC, needs to be in melee range for half his kit to work and , unlike Vlad, you can completely deny his ult's DoT with a single health potion until the late game.
Literally the only people that struggle against him early game are the ones that sit on top of their minions and then try to trade with a full shield Mord.
I dont even think Vlad is op, but it is incredibly easy to see why one is QQ'ed about and the other is not.
Vlad can choose to not push the wave by just farming from range or with Q which is a HUGE benefit.
