I UNDERSTAND THAT ITEM SYNERGY IS A NEAT THING THAT ADDS VARIATION TO THE GAME BUT WHEN A VIKTOR CAN BUILD HIS ITEM, A SERAPH'S, AND THEN 2 GODDAMN FROZEN HEARTS AND DO ASSTONS OF DAMAGE WHILE GETTING A 700 HP SHIELD FROM HIS Q EVERY 3 SECONDS THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG. 5 PEOPLE COULD NOT KILL HIM. WITH 12 SECONDS OF HARD CC. HE LITERALLY WON THE GAME 1V5 HIS TEAM COULDA AFK'D.

There is a difference between "Good at a champion" and "Literally unkillable because of unseen item synergies with champion's kit that means you can laugh and dance between 5 people as long as you press Q on cooldown".

There is no respect in that.

This is actually an example of someone using their brain and building according to the enemy team.

Also, neither Darius nor Yasuo actually bothered to build any Armor Pen and you didn't build a Black Cleaver in addition to your Last Whisper.

You build one or the other, not both. I assumed Darius would have two brain cells to rub together and build black cleaver seeing as it is literally his bread and butter item but he did not.

And the fact that he was able to outdamage me while building 4 tank items because Viktor gets damage off of his mana and that doubles with archangel's is literally straight up retarded. There's a difference between being a battlemage and being broken. 5 people beating on one guy and being unable to kill him before he kills 3+ of them is not balanced.

First off, Viktor doesn't get damage off of his mana. He gets a bigger shield.

The only reason he deals more damage is because of Archangel's Staff.

If you want to call something bad, at least call the correct thing bad.

There's a difference between being a battlemage and being broken. 5 people beating on one guy and being unable to kill him before he kills 3+ of them is not balanced.

Maybe because 2 of you didn't buy any Armor Pen at all?

No, that is NOT an unwillingness to adapt, it's an absolute waste. Armor pen is not additive. The value I would get from either after having the other is negligible at best. Honestly, read how game mechanics work before trying to drag me . I have played this game for a VERY long time, across multiple accounts and servers.

YES, I DID tell him to build it after I saw he had 2 items that weren't it, he didn't listen to me. In fact he sat in a side lane most of the game afk in a bush. Kinda difficult when he just flat out doesn't want to participate.

And yeah, okay, q doesn't do more damage with mana it's just the shield but you know, 500-600 hp on a 3.3 second cooldown is pretty... not okay.

No, it isn't additive, no, you won't get the full value, but you refusing to build it is still an unwillingess to adapt.

Viktor adapted to your WHOLE team being AD by building Armor, now you need to build Armor Pen to counter him.

Then you wouldn't be crying about a Viktor building full Defensive.

See, now you just lost all credibility with me. My complaint was the fact that much like Nasus's Wither the ability lasts almost the entire cooldown. Riven's shield is like .5 seconds, on a 4 second cooldown. I actually have to think to use it. And I am by no means a Riven main.

Do me a favor and go back to Reddit where you can just constantly argue people's valid points with no repercussions.

Actually, Riven's shield lasts for 1.5 second and at rank 5 with 40% cdr, it has a cooldown of 2.4 seconds.

Victor doesnt get damage off of his mana. Only Ryze does. He gets bonus AP because of Seraph's passive.
Your hard cc is not even close to 12seconds even if you layer it correctly, Ashe arrow is around 3.5secs stun at max, your W is 0.75sec stun, Taric E is, if i remember right, 1.5sec stun, in total 5.75 sec stun at the very best, and you have to take onto account that Riven W and Taric E are quite hard to land on champions that can get a lot of ms. All your other cc abilities are pretty situational against fast targets. I doubt you stun-locked him for more than 1.5 seconds.
Everyone in your team has low or no mr. So, of course, he will hit you pretty hard wit haround 500 Ap or even more. And no, hexdrinker doesnt provide much protection in the late game. Most mages will rip through hexdrinker and maw in the late game.
As i see it, its no wonder he could 1vs5 you. Your only engage is Ashe arrow. Victor can self-peel extremely well. Even with Riven's mobility it would be a struggle to get on top of a good Victor. And with his build he would be able to ignore Ashe for a little while, considering her build. But i still doubt he ever 1vs5 you.

Overall your comp had a huge weakness. You had almost no engage and Ashe arrow is not always guaranteed to hit. And 3 of you want to hard engage, running head first onto the enemy team, while Ashe and Taric are better at kiting and standing fights. If you had a better engage tool or if Taric had gone for item 2065 instead of item 3800 and you attacked from the fog of war you would stand a very good chance.

Obviously I was exaggerating the cc bit but the fact that out of a 20 second fight he was stunned knocked up or we were invincible from Taric's ult for more than half of it and he still wasn't dead is a huge freaking issue. I did not struggle to stay on top of him, I simply struggled to do any damage at all. His Q shield lasts about as long as the cooldown on his Q is and with that shield being nearly 600 hp he's basically fucking invincible at that point and it's ridiculous. I guess my Darius thought his armor pen from his E was enough and he didn't need a cleaver but boy was he wrong because Cleaver helps everyone on your team and I opted for a LW instead. You don't build both, as I told the guy above you. It's not worth the investment. Either makes the other's pen like 33% as effective. Getting through another 10% of his armor wouldn't have magically won me the game, especially not when it would had sacked AD, or MR, which at that point were far more valuable.

What in the world was your team doing for the first 20 minutes of the game?

Victor's Build at 20 minutes: item 2033 item 3024 item 3070 item 3047 item 3196 item 1027

Total AP: 3 per level + whatever runes gave him. So maybe 60 AP max? And yet he'd gotten 2 kills by that point.... 2 kills with virtually no AP... Yeah, he died twice, but he was basically going even at that point instead of being punished.

Guessing by the kill graph, you probably realized he was a problem around the 32 minute mark after he got a Triple kill and Aced your team - after he'd picked up item 3025 item 3040 item 3198

Worth pointing out that the gold graph says you guys never had control of the game. Viktor actually finishing some items just meant that the other team stopped beating you 4v5 and started smashing you 5v5.
